Video Transcript for Review of Rackem Replacement Ladder Rack T-Bracket - RA34FR

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement T bracket for your trailer ladder rack. This is going to be an exact replacement for your Rack'em fitz-all ladder rack. It's going to provide that mounting location for your ladder rack so you can haul any of your ladders or other equipment just by attaching it to the side of the trailer there. This is a Rack'em product, so you can trust it's going to work with your ladder rack.

You're not going to need to make any sort of modifications or anything like that. Just like your original, this is made of a heavy duty extruded aluminum. So it's going to hold up well, going to match the rest of your system. So if you have a damaged T bracket or for whatever reason, you're needing a replacement, this is going to be the piece that you need. Just for a little extra piece of mind, give you a few measurements here. So you can see, it is right about eight and a quarter of an inch in total width.

And if we measure the height, comes in right about, just over a 12 inches, I'd call it maybe 12 and an eighth of an inch in total height, so. If you need a replacement for your ladder rack, this is the piece that you're going to need. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

  • Helper Spring Recommendation For Rear End Sag While Towing With 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO
If the vehicle still squats even when using weight distribution, my first suspicion would be that the weight distribution system hasn't been set up correctly or the system being used is under-rated for the travel trailer's tongue weight + the weight of anything that's carried in the truck bed behind the rear axle. I'd suggest revisiting the initial setup to ensure things have been set up correctly. I'd also recommend confirming the the travel trailers fully loaded and ready to tow tongue...

  • What Suspension Enhancement do You Recommend for My 2021 Toyota Tundra While Hauling Often?
Since you haul pretty often on your 2021 Toyota Tundra, a great overall suspension option is the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS34FR. Not only will this enhancement kit prolong the general life on your factory springs, they also don't require any additional maintenance once installed on your vehicle. The great thing about the RoadActive kit is that it eliminates axle wrap, wheel hop, and bottoming out. Also, it helps with vehicle sag if that is something you...

  • Recommended RAS Suspension Enhancement For 2010 Toyota Tundra 5.7L 2WD Towing 8000lb Travel Trailer
For your 2010 Toyota Tundra 2WD with a Snug Top Camper Shel towing a 34' Travel Trailer with 800lbs tongue weight and 8000lb trailer weight using a weight distribution hitch I recommend the RoadActive Suspension Heavy Duty # RAS34FR with a 3000lb load capacity. This kit can be adjusted in two ways depending on the exact stiffness and load support you want, but in your case I would go ahead and use the lower setting which is the thinner spacer. The reason I recommend going with the Heavy...

  • How is the RAS System Different From Add-A-Leaf System for 2001 Toyota Tundra
An Add-A-Leaf kit differs from the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS34FR for your 2001 Toyota Tundra in that the Add-A-Leaf is literally just adding another leaf spring to your spring stack to help make it a little more robust where the RAS system is a little more "smart". It has a spring that helps to provide constant tension and you can adjust it some for more of a relaxed or stiffer ride quality. So instead of just making your leaf spring stack thicker...

  • Do I Have To Remove The Leaf Spring Eye Bolt To Install?
That's a good question. I have seen videos of this product installed and many times the (part C) eye bracket hook just lays onto the leaf spring eye. However, since 2008 the Tundra's have required one side of the eye hook to be removed. I have attached the install procedure PDF file. Step 6 reads, "Remove one side and place it on top of the rear leaf spring eye bracket hook." They certainly could have provided a picture illustrating this and a better explanation. So yes, you do have...

  • Will the RoadActive Suspension for a 2017 Toyota Tundra Affect Payload
The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit part # RAS34FR for a 2017 Toyota Tundra has a pre-load after installation so it would be considered sprung mass. It essentially becomes part of the leaf spring. They however will not increase payload. In regards to braking, the affects would be marginal but the pre-load will place more weight towards the front axle where the majority of the braking force will be.

  • Best Suspension Enhancement System for a 2021 Toyota Tundra For a Self-Install
I have a great suspension enhancement system that you can install on your 2021 Toyota Tundra. The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS34FR is going to be a great option to improve your vehicle's stability, handling, and control while you are towing or hauling, as well as when your vehicle is unloaded. This custom-fit kit comes fully assembled and is easy to install. Each RAS unit simply bolts onto your factory leaf spring with the included hardware, and drilling,...

  • Will the RoadActive Suspension System Lift the Bed of an Already Lifted Truck
The RoadActive Suspension system # RAS34FR effects the suspension, so it will work with any body lift that you may have in place. The RAS system will lift the rear of the vehicle approximately 1" to 1-3/4" depending on the truck, so the bed is also going to raise up in the process that same amount- so it's going to be in addition to whatever body lift has already been added.

  • Can I use a RoadActive Suspension Kit and a Timbren System on a 2021 Tundra
I recommend using just the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty item # RAS34FR and making sure it is adjusted properly. Yes, those 2 systems can both be installed on your 2021 Toyota Tundra. However, both of them combined would be a stiff uncomfortable ride.

  • What RoadActive Leaf Spring Enhancement do You Recommend to Eliminate Bouncing on My 2011 Tundra?
The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Springs definitely add tightness and stability to your setup. If you do a lot of hauling, your OEM springs and shocks can use some extra support to make up for the normal wear/tear on your 2011 Toyota Tundra. Since you are hauling a 7500-pound travel trailer, I recommend using the heavy duty model # RAS34FR. The great thing about this kit is that it does add firmness to your setup while you are towing as well as when you are not towing. Also, once the...

  • Can RAS34FR RoadActive Suspension System Be Used Along With Weight Distribution
The US- made # RAS34FR RoadActive Suspension kit is a fit for your 2006 Toyota Tundra and would be an excellent addition to augment your rear suspension and to improve your ride quality whether the truck is loaded or unloaded, towing or not. The system will work along with your Equal-i-zer weight distribution system to level out your ride height between the front and rear axles and will also help prevent axle wrap and wheel hop. You'll want to be sure to repeat the set-up procedure for...

  • Looking For Replacement T-Brackets For An Aluminum Ladder Rack On A Trailer
From looking at your picture, the Replacement T Bracket for Rack'em Fitz-All Enclosed Trailer Ladder Rack # RA34FR may work for you, but I couldn't tell for sure. With that being said, I created a diagram with all the measurements that should help. Please note that I am no artist and the diagram isn't pretty. However, the measurements are accurate. I did forget to include that the overall height of the part is 12". With the way the bracket is sitting in your picture, I think the inner...

  • Rear Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2021 Toyota Tundra Hauling a Toy Hauler
For your 2021 Toyota Tundra I definitely recommend the RoadActive Suspension kit, # RAS34FR. Especially since you already have a WDS in play with your set-up. This provides great support in preventing sag and it improves handling and ride quality when either towing or not as the RAS adjusts to your load to level your ride. This attaches to your vehicle's factory leaf springs but converts them into a mechanically active suspension system reducing dangerous sway and body roll while cornering...

  • Best Rear Suspension Enhancement for 2021 Toyota Tundra
For your 2021 Toyota Tundra the best rear suspension enhancement is the RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS34FR as it is very easy to install, provides adjustable support, does a great job eliminating sag, improves handling and stability, and unlike other options it improves ride quality when loaded and unloaded so it is the best all around solution.

  • What is the Difference Between RoadActive Suspension Enhancement RAS54FR and RAS34FR?
The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS34FR is a fit for the 2000-2021 Toyota Tundra. While the RoadActive # RAS54FR is for certain 1990-2022 Chevrolet/GMC 1500 series trucks. Each kit is specific for the leaf springs length on the truck they are designed to fit. Both of these kits are heavy duty with a 3,000lb rated capacity. You will need to select the correct kit for your vehicle.

  • Higher or Lower Capacity RoadActive Suspension Kit for 2005 Toyota Tundra
I always recommend the higher rated RoadActive Suspension kits like the part # RAS34FR that fits your 2005 Toyota Tundra. This gives you additional capacity if needed over the lighter duty model but also can be adjusted lower if ever needed as well.

  • 2021 Tundra TRD Pro Spring Enhancement Kit For Increased Stability and Reducing Squat
If you're already using a weight distribution system and are still experiencing squatting then you may want to check to ensure you have the proper weight distribution system for your trailer. I recommend going back and making sure the system has been set up properly. You should also check your trailers fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight, which should include the weight of anything in the truck bed behind its rear axle. You'll want to check that this weight isn't more than the tongue...

  • Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2018 Toyota Tundra that Improves Ride Quality
Timbren's actually have the reputation as providing the harshest ride quality of all of the suspension enhancement kits so that would not be my first choice. Instead I would recommend the RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS34FR which will give you additional support, is adjustable, and also actually improves the ride quality and stability unlike other options that will make it harsher.

  • Best Suspension Enhancement For 2021 Toyota Tundra For Ride Quality When Towing
The best thing you can add to your 2021 Toyota Tundra to improve the stability and ride quality of your truck when you are towing is an active suspension kit, and the correct one is going to depend on the amount of squat you have and/or the tongue weight you have: - Less Than 2 Inches of Squat and/or Less Than 600 lbs of Tongue Weight: RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS4611TD - More Than 2 Inches of Squat and/or More Than 600 lbs of Tongue Weight: RoadActive...

  • Are Adjustments Required For The RoadActive Suspension?
You will want to verify that you still have the correct amount of spring tension on the RoadActive Suspension # RAS34FR on your 2012 Toyota Tundra SR5. I recommend keeping the gauges, 1mm and 2mm in your Tundra at all times. Before you load your Tundra or connect to your trailer you will want to ensure that the spring tension is properly set to prevent damage to the RAS and keep your Tundra as level as possible. Keeping your Tundra level will ensure that you maintain even braking and do...

  • RoadActive Suspension Recommendation for 2021 Toyota Tundra 4WD
I recommend picking up the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS34FR for your 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport, 4WD since it has the higher 3,000 lb weight rating as opposed to the 2,000 lb rating for the RAS Kit # RAS4611TD. This just means you'll have a higher support system so you can ensure the suspension on your new truck will have the most help possible which, in turn, means your suspension will have less wear and tear.
