Recommended Hitch Adapter for a 2025 Volvo XC60

Im sure youve heard this request before.. I have a Volvo XC60 hitch that is 1.24 I need an adapter to make it 2 for a bike rack. The problem is that the adapter needs to line up with the hole on the hitch. The Volvo hitch measures 1.6 from the end of the hitch to the hole. Do you have anything that will work?

Hey Karen, thanks for the information. The Trailer Hitch Adapter item # e93YR will fit your XC60's 1-1/4". The hitch pin hole is a bit farther down the shank on this one compared to the item # hes6. It sits 2-1/2" from the back of the shank as shown in the diagram below. You'll want to measure from your Volvo's hitch pin hole towards the front of your vehicle to see if there's a stop within 2-1/2".
Please note the use of any 1/4" to 2" hitch adapter will lower your Volvo's tongue weight capacity by 50%.
What kind of bike rack do you have? If you could get me the make and model I can see if there's a shank designed for it that fits a 1-1/4" hitch.

Hey Karen, did you get a chance to measure your Volvo's hitch to see if the adapter I suggested will work for your bike rack? I'm asking because I want to make sure we find the best solution for you and others with a similar setup.
