This kit is built to pull heavy gooseneck trailers with confidence. It’s rated for a gross towing weight of 30,000 lbs and a tongue weight of 7,500 lbs, giving you the strength to handle large equipment, livestock, or heavy RVs. The chrome-plated steel ball is durable and corrosion resistant, so it stays reliable even under tough conditions.
The pop-in 2-5/16" ball fits tight in the gooseneck receiver and uses a built-in ball-bearing locking system to hold it in place. A quarter-turn of the integrated lever releases it when you’re ready to remove it. The design makes inserting and pulling the ball easy while keeping a solid connection when you’re towing.
The two safety-chain loops attach directly to the built-in receivers for fast connection. The large loops make it easy to hook oversized clevis hooks without fighting for clearance. When you’re done towing, the rubber cover keeps dirt out of the ball hole and the included storage case keeps the ball, loops, and cover organized and protected until the next trip.
Both the ball and safety chain loops are made from forged steel for strength you can count on. The black powder coat finish on the loops adds corrosion resistance, so everything holds up well over years of towing duty in any weather.

Product is as described. Installed on my F-350 with no issues. The chain hooks are a little tight, and the ball is a little loose, but it shouldn't be an issue for towing. I've had a great experience with etrailer!

Took longer to open the packaging than it did to install. Fits and looks like it came from the factory. Less expensive than ordering the kit from the OEM.
Will be used to pull a horse trailer.

The ball is stuck. After reading about others having same problem, appears the ball bearings are frozen up, guessing rusted. Design will allow water down the top of the ball. I like the idea and ease of removal. A cover would probably prevent this. For now, I just want the ball out. sometimes need to use the truck bed for hauling and the ball being stuck in there makes it difficult.
Ordered the product from etrailer.com, which was much cheaper than the Ford dealership, and it's heavy duty, looks great, and easy to install. Came packaged in a very nice case for storage. Since this new truck came factory installed with a trailer package, I wasn't sure about Fords new round base ball type using bearings to secure ball in place. So far I have used it two or three times to haul 35ft. trailer from Dallas to San Antonio and back using our 1-ton F350. Worked like a charm!
It works real good but wish I had gotten the ball with the handle on it for easier handling.
Easy to place & remove ball in truck with manufacturer’s gooseneck receiver. Securely pulled trailer through 2018’s Winter Storm Jaxon while traveling from CA to MT. Would recommend product for anyone who purchases a truck that is prepped for gooseneck hitch.

I purchased your Curt Ball and Safety Hook Kit and really Love It! I plan to leave the safety hooks installed and have added Master locks to prevent theft. I just have to drop the ball into the bed I and am ready to pull. My truck is a 2018 Chevrolet 2500 Midnight Edition Z71 with the Duramax/Allison combination and will be pulling a 25' flatbed and my 60hp John Deere tractor. I am very pleased with your product!

This product is perfect, so easy to use. It arrived within a couple of days of ordering and I noticed a little shipping damage to the case (no damage to the contents).
