Hello Nick,

I am guessing by factory installed hitch you mean the OEM Prep Package in the bed of the truck where you can either put a 5th wheel hitch, or in your case the gooseneck ball in the middle hole. The Ball is the same for both, but the safety chain holes are different.

You will want one of the following:

- If you Rent the Ram 3500 2022 of newer you will want: Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loops Kit for Ram Underbed Gooseneck Hitch - 30K # C60618

- If you rent the Ford F-350 2022 or newer you will want: Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit for GM/Chevy/Ford/Nissan Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch - 30K # C60692

- If you need a ball and no safety chain loops, then you will want Curt Pop-In Ball for Factory Chevy/GM, Ford, and Nissan (also Ram) Underbed Gooseneck Hitches - 2-5/16" # C60629.

What kind of trailer are you looking to move that you need to rent a truck?

Hey Nick, Did you decide on which truck to rent and which gooseneck ball option worked best for you? I'm curious because it could help others in a similar situation.
