Question:
Is there a benefit one way or the other to ordering a truck with an OEM gooseneck hitch vs buying and installing an aftermarket one? How about the ball and chain loop itself? OEM or aftermarket for that? Thanks!

I recommend getting the OEM pucks if you will be towing regularly. We have a few options for the hitch ball and chain loops that are most likely more cost efficient than the dealer. The OEM ball and loops are made by Curt who has a little competition in the aftermarket parts for that vehicle. Here are your options:
-Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit for GM/Chevy/Ford/Nissan Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch - 30K # C60692
-B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford, GM, and Nissan Titan Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNXA2061
If you want an aftermarket gooseneck hitch instead, then without any hesitation I recommend the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # BWGNRK1020. This does require cutting a hole in your bed, but this is the best system that will also allow you to use a 5th wheel hitch if desired utilizing this as an underbed fit kit due to the square hole and sturdy design. I've attached a video of this installation to assist.
