Which Gooseneck Ball Should I Use for a 2025 GMC Sierra AT4 2500 w/ the OEM Puck System?

Question:

I just bought a 2025 GMC Sierra AT4 2500 with the max towing package. I noticed that the center goose ball hole is slightly back from the center of the axle. This must be something new with GMC because ford and ram are still placing theirs directl over the rear axle. Would it be safe to use the Curt multi-fit oem puck goose ball or should i just get a curt goose ball and chain hooks.

Congrats on the new truck! The Curt RockerBall Multi-Fit Ball Kit item # C78ZV will work great with the puck system in your new 2025 Sierra 2500. It's been specifically designed to work with all the OEM puck systems so the difference in positioning over the axle won't affect it's functionality or capacity. It also has built in chain loops.

If you do not have the 8' bed I would recommend using the Curt RockerBall item # C78ZV over the standard Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit item # C60692. It'll give you extra turning clearance which you'll need with the shorter 6-3/4" bed.
