When the road turns slick with snow or ice, these grooved square links dig in for grip you can count on. The ladder pattern keeps power moving straight ahead, giving you steady traction on packed snow, slush, or icy hills without the slip or spin of smoother links. It’s a setup built for tough winter driving where every bit of traction matters.
Dealing with loose chains in the cold is no fun, but these have built-in cams that make it quick to get the right tension. Just twist the cams to pull the chain tight around the tire—no tools or drive-over installs needed. For an even firmer grip, you can add rubber adjusters (sold separately). Once tightened, you’re ready to roll without constant rechecks.

The reversible construction means you can flip these chains when one side starts to wear, effectively doubling their lifespan. That’s a simple way to make sure you get more use out of each set, especially if you drive regularly through snow or ice. Dry them after use and they’ll be ready for many more winter runs.
Each 5.6 mm (0.22") link is made from nickel manganese alloy steel that’s been case-hardened for exceptional strength. The tough outer layer resists rust and abrasion, while the inner core absorbs stress without cracking. It’s a durable setup that holds up to repeated use in harsh winter environments.
Designed to deliver dependable traction on everything from snowy highways to icy hills, this pair of chains fits tire sizes from 17" to 22-1/2". Whether you’re hauling, traveling, or just trying to make it up a steep driveway, these chains add the grip you need when winter weather turns rough.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the pewag All Square 5.6 millimeter Snow Tire Chains. These are gonna be a ladder pattern style chain, so they're gonna be a little more rough of a ride than the diagonal or diamond pattern chains, but that's not a huge deal, these aren't gonna be the roughest ride of all of them though, there are some all square snow tire chains that are a little bit bigger, these are 5.6 millimeters linked thick, so these are relatively larger, but not as big as they can go, so they're gonna get you a decent amount of traction, and these are gonna be less traction than some of the V-bar style chains. These do have a little bit stronger steel material, it's manganese nickel alloy, some of them are low carbon steel, so these are definitely winning when it comes to how hard and how strong they are, so they should last a long time. And one thing I like about it is just the cam tensioners, they really do help get a really nice fit on the chain, so that is something to kinda think about, just because as treads start to kinda go down, sometimes the diameter of your tire changes ever so slightly, so with the cam tensioners, you can be confident that they're as tight as they can be, so they're not gonna fall off or anything and damage the vehicle. These won't damage your wheels, so notice how we have a very large amount of gap between the chain and our rims, so even if we we're in very, very thick, heavy snow where it's pushing in on the side walls, it's not gonna go and scratch our wheels, that's something I look at, just because these are nice and I wanna keep them nice, so you don't have to worry about that with these. If you wanna put these on just the back wheels of whatever vehicle you may have, you can do that, it does come in a pack of two, but if you do wanna put it on the front wheel as well, you're gonna have to grab two of these.
So they have a pretty big bag and it's not a canvas bag, so it is not gonna rip near as easily, so that's a good thing. There's plenty of room in the bag too to get all the chains in there, so you don't have to worry about just kinda having to stuff stuff in. A lot of times, when you get products, sometimes, they don't get packaged up as nice and neatly as they did before, but with these, they have plenty of room in this bag. But once it's all in there, it's about this size, it'll fit underneath your backseat or in your toolbox, whatever you have going on on your vehicle. But when it comes to these, I think they're gonna be a pretty good option for you.
And that's pretty much it for a look at the pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with cam tensioners..
