Heavy duty and good quality construction
Heavy duty extremely well built.
The product itself is built like a tank. The minus 3 stars is for the shipping experience. Probably the worst shipping experience I have ever had. The box is huge and weighs 71 pounds. It was shipped in a single wall cardboard box with one piece of tape closing it, no padding, and the label was applied upside down. The box traveled with UPS on its lid, and arrived to me mangled. The lid was bent so far in on the corner that it wouldn't open without me having to bend the piece of metal out. The powder coat was damaged in multiple places.
I'm satisfied with etrailer's response to quickly reship, hoping it shows up packaged better. Now I have to figure out how to ship this back. I can't believe that it was shipped so poorly to begin with. Expensive mistake that could have been easily prevented.
I purchased this toolbox for my Jumping Jack tent trailer. I also purchased 6 (1" Long Black Torx Wall Liner Screw) mounting screws. All went well with the installation. It's securely on the trailer with no movement. I bought this particular toolbox to securely store a Honda eu2200 generator even though the dimensions of the box indicated it would fit. Unfortunately, the lid arm and the box lock dimensions would not accommodate the generator(1 star deduction). I still liked the toolbox so I decided not to return. Upon my first use, the locking mechanism stopped opening the lid to the box (another 1 star deduction). As I type this review, I'm on a 30 minute hold to reach ertrailer.com customer service to start the process for getting a new locking mechanism for the box. Prior to this call, I spoke with RC Manufacturing representative, who indicated they would send a new lock to me once they receive the relevant information from etrailer.com.
I made the order at night and the next morning had confirmation that my order what’s shipped.
