eZ-Latch Coupler

This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the contoured handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.

Demco eZ-Latch in Use

Sturdy, Corrosion-Resistant Construction

Made of sturdy steel, this A-frame coupler features a durable silver powder coat finish that is designed to limit rust and corrosion. This finish has a 500-hour salt spray rating, making the coupler perfect for marine use. The eZ-Latch's sleek, ergonomically designed handle is constructed of a durable composite material that's corrosion-proof, allowing it to withstand whatever the road and the elements dish out.

  • Is There a Trailer Coupler Repair Kit for Trailer with 2-5/16" Coupler
I know this is not what you want to hear but the vast majority of trailer couplers cannot be repaired, they will instead need to be replaced. There are very few trailer coupler repair kits available and they are by no means universal. Therefore, unless you have the exact coupler said repair kit is designed for (highly unlikely), it's not going to work and the coupler needs to be replaced. For this, we do have a great option for you though that won't require any welding making it capable...

  • Is There a Replacement Coupler for a 2018 Lance 1475 TT?
Hey Ron, I did some checking, and I wasn't able to find any specifics on the coupler that came on your 2018 Lance 1475 TT. According to the photos I saw though, it definitely looks like a unique-enough coupler that you'll either need to reach out directly to Lance about a replacement (I've tried reaching out but only got crickets back from them) or use an aftermarket replacement. Here are a few options that might work, but you'll need to confirm on your end since Lance doesn't have any...

  • Replacement Coupler for 2008 Victory Enclosed Trailer
As far as I know your 2008 Victory trailer has an A-frame on it. Assuming that is correct, and it is a 50 degree A-frame, I recommend one of the following: -Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM16680-52 (Bolt-On, Silver Powder Coat) -Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM13205-95 (Bolt-On, Zinc Finish) -Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # 12660-97SP (Weld-On, Primed) If you have a 32 degree A-frame you can choose from the following: -Demco 32-Degree A-Frame Trailer...

  • Recommended Safety Chains and Bolt Size Needed To Attach To Demco Coupler # DM16680-52
Demco says to use 1/2" Grade 8 bolts 1-1/2" long for the safety chains on the Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM16680-52. I recommend the Buyers Products 3/8" x 35" Class 4 Trailer Safety Chain # 337BSC3835. You will need 2 of these as they are sold individually. The chain comes with a large clevis hook for your hitch and is zinc coated to resist corrosion.

  • Replacement Coupler for a inTech Car Hauler
Hey Bill! I went to inTech's website and we do not have an exact replacement for their coupler but we have something that will work. It's the Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack Hole and Anchors item # DM16680-52. The Demco item # DM16680-52 fits a 50 degree A-frame and has a 2-5/16" hitch ball just like you original one. It has a bolt on installation with the mounting holes drilled into the sides. This is actually going to be better than trying to line up with your already...

I checked the Featherlite Trailer website for specs on the model 3116 trailer but this part number returned no results. But if your trailer uses an industry-standard 50-degree a-frame design then the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM16680-52 will fit as a bolt-on replacement. I linked a photo of this coupler to show you the mounting hole spacing.

  • Bolt-on Trailer Coupler to Replace Bulldog # BD028463
You could drill into the Bulldog # BD028463 and make it a bolt-on but that's not really ideal. We don't have the exact match in a bolt-on model. We do have part # BD44150WH301 for a bolt-on Bulldog coupler. It has a higher rating but the price tag is quite a bit more. Another option is a Demco coupler. Part # DM16680-52 has even more weight capacity and a nice latch. It fits the same ball size and bolt pattern as well.

  • Would Could Fix Excess Coupler Play with Demco EZ Latch Coupler
The play you are feeling/hearing is most likely between the hitch ball and the latch of the coupler. If you look under the coupler you can see an adjustment bolt that uses an Allen wrench that will allow you to tighten the latch and get rid of the excess movement. Now that said, the part # D16680-52 is the correct replacement for what you have currently.

I do have an option for you but Atwood is no longer in business so the only option would be a full replacement for which I recommend the Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler part # DM16680-52. It features a bolt-on install, easy couple design, and can be painted to match the frame.

  • How to Measure Trailer Frame Angle for Coupler
You'd just have to physically go out to your trailer and measure the angle. So to do this, you'd need to get a protractor or something similar and place it on the edge of the inside on one side of the trailer frame, and check to see if the other inside edge of the frame is parallel with the 50 degree line on the protractor. 50 degrees is the standard angle for trailer frames, so that's why we recommend you start there. • Is There a Trailer Coupler Repair Kit for An Atwood Trailer Coupler
I do have an option for you but trailer coupler repair kits are model specific and since Atwood has went out of business there are no more trailer coupler repair kits for their couplers. I am afraid the only option for you is to replace the entire couper which I know is not what you want to do but is your only option. • Can Weld-On A-Frame Trailer Coupler be Replaced with a Bolt-On Coupler
Yes, you can replace your weld-on coupler with a bolt-on. You'll just need to drill the holes. Then, if you wanted to go back to a weld-on later that would be fine too. Just to confirm you can check with the trailer's manufacturer that drilling the holes won't lower the trailer's capacity. Our most popular A-frame couplers are the Demco eZ-Latch. The eZ-Latch makes it easier to hookup and disconnect from your trailer. For a coupler that fits a 2 inch ball use # DM14793-52 and for...

  • Is There a Repair Kit for a 2-5/16" Trailer Coupler
I don't think anyone really wants to replace their coupler when the latching mechanism is bad or worn but, it's unfortunately a must since they don't make universal trailer coupler repair kits. There are trailer coupler repair kits available but, they are for very specific couplers which is not likely one you have. That said, we do have bolt-on options so you don't need to worry about finding a welder, you'll just need to cut/grind the old one off. I recommend the Demco 50-Degree A-Frame...
