Question:

Do you have a bolt-on hitch coupling that will fit a 2018 Lance 1475 TT without modifications needed? I would prefer a sleeve type coupler.

Hey Ron,

I did some checking, and I wasn't able to find any specifics on the coupler that came on your 2018 Lance 1475 TT. According to the photos I saw though, it definitely looks like a unique-enough coupler that you'll either need to reach out directly to Lance about a replacement (I've tried reaching out but only got crickets back from them) or use an aftermarket replacement.

Here are a few options that might work, but you'll need to confirm on your end since Lance doesn't have any info out on it:

- Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM14793-81
- Demco 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM16680-52
- Demco 32-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM15633-81

Do one of these look like it will work for your trailer? They bolt on or weld on and won't be an exact replacement, so there will be some modification to install any of them.

Thanks for your work on this. I have decided to wait on this and try lubrication and motion to handle my hitch coupling issues. Difficult uncoupling from the ball…seems to stick and I don’t like it to uncouple with a bang.

@Ron Adding grease to the hitch ball is a great place to start if you're having issues coupling. Does your coupler have any adjustment in the latch system? I had the opposite problem with a trailer I was towing, where the latch was too loose and the trailer came uncoupled on the highway (0/10 don't recommend) but we snugged it up a bit and everything works better now - I wonder if you need to loosen it up a little?
