eZ-Latch Coupler

This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the contoured handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball. The eZ-Latch's sleek, ergonomically designed handle is also constructed of a durable composite material that's corrosion-proof, allowing it to withstand whatever the road and the elements dish out.

  • EZ Latch and Sleeve-Lock Trailer Couplers To Replace Latch Coupler on 2023 Intech Sol Horizon Camper
Based on your measurements it matches our Fulton 50-Degree A-Frame Coupler # FE443050303 which looks to be the same as what is on the 2024 Intech Sol Horizon from the videos I could find. So this would use either the EZ Latch # DM14793-81 or Sleeve-Lock # CA-5196-B coupler. Like you mentioned you will have to drill new holes to match your trailer mounts as they do not use a typical bolt on pattern.

  • Availability of Coupler Repair Kit for Discontinued Atwood Coupler
Hi Andy; Atwood has been gone for quite a while now so their couplers and repair kits are no longer around. The best option is to replace the coupler on your trailer. I recommend the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM14793-81. This uses the eZ latch which makes for a quick and simple hookup and disconnect. It is also available in silver # DM14793-52. If you're looking for a more economic option we have the # CA-5210-B which is a weld-on coupler.

  • Adding Parking Brake To 2011 Earthbound Dakota Trailer
The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Assembly with Parking Brake - 10" - Left Hand - 3,500 lbs # K23-086-00 and the right side # K23-087-00 are a fit for your 2011 Earthbound Dakota. You will also want the Titan Breakaway and Parking Kit for Drum Brakes # T2385200. The maximum capacity you listed is for the combination of the axles not each axle based on what I see online as well as the 4 bolt mount on the axles and 5 bolt pattern you mention for the wheels.

  • Will The Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler DM14793-81 Replace The CA-5210-B Coupler?
Hello Al, thanks for reaching out. The A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5210-B and the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM14793-81 are interchangeable. They both fit a 50" degree A-frame which is standard. I would be surprised to hear that your A-frame was anything other than a 50 degree but you could always take a measuring tool and check. As long as it is indeed 50 degrees the Demco # DM14793-81 will work great and will be a much more durable latch compared to the yoke latch. What kind of...

  • Is There a Replacement Coupler for a 2018 Lance 1475 TT?
Hey Ron, I did some checking, and I wasn't able to find any specifics on the coupler that came on your 2018 Lance 1475 TT. According to the photos I saw though, it definitely looks like a unique-enough coupler that you'll either need to reach out directly to Lance about a replacement (I've tried reaching out but only got crickets back from them) or use an aftermarket replacement. Here are a few options that might work, but you'll need to confirm on your end since Lance doesn't have any...

  • How to Determine the Correct Coupler for a 1975/6 21' Kit Companion Travel Trailer
Hey Thomas, I've attached an FAQ on how you can identify your coupler but basically you just need to take note of its type (A-frame, Straight tongue, etc.), the trailer side connection, how it installs and the capacity. So from what I can see, your 21’ Kit Companion travel trailer uses an A-frame style coupler with a standard hitch ball setup. I did also check the capacity and it looks like your trailer has a GVWR of 5,000 lbs, so something like the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack...

Hi Jarod; you can email me your pictures and I'll see what we have. If you reply to the email with the link for this page it will come to me. Are you looking for an exact match to the style? If not, you could replace both with one like the A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5210-B you were looking at or upgrade to a Demco with the eZ Latch # DM14793-81. Both fit a 2" ball and fit a standard A-frame.

  • Difference Between 10K Demco eZ-Latch Couplers
The only differences between the Demco eZ-Latch Couplers # DM37ZR and # DM14793-81 is that the former has integrated loop holes for installing safety chains and a about a 2" drop while the latter doesn't come with provisions for attaching the safety chains and has the coupler in-line with the trailer frame. Aside from that everything else is the same.

  • Is There a Latch Repair Kit for an Atwood Trailer Coupler 88555
There will be no trailer coupler latch repair kit for an Atwood Trailer Coupler 88555 which is discontinued. Unfortunately, the only option is a full replacement for which I recommend the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler part # DM14793-81. This coupler can be bolted-on once you cut the old one off and it doesn't require the handle to be open while coupling.

  • Recommended Replacement Coupler For An Atwood 2" Coupler
I went ahead and checked, and unfortunately there is not a coupler repair kit for your 2" Atwood coupler. With that being said, the best solution is going to be a full coupler replacement. I recommend checking out the: -Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack Hole - eZ-Latch # DM14793-81. This coupler is made for 2" hitch balls, has a maximum capacity of 10,000-lbs, and has a bolt-on installation. Attached is a product overview video for you to check out as well.

  • Availability Of Replacement Latch For Atwood 88555 2 Coupler
Unfortunately the Atwood coupler in your picture (appears to be part 88555) has been discontinued so there is not any latch kit or replacement parts available. At this point the only option we can offer is to replace the coupler entirely. The most similar coupler we offer is the A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5210-B. This has the same 8,000 lb weight rating as the Atwood 88555 coupler. It also appears to be very similar in design. If you want to go with something a bit more heavy duty,...

  • Comparing Demco A-Frame Coupler DM37ZR and DM14793-81
You are correct. Other than how they are made, the Demco Cast Head Coupler w/ Jack Hole - eZ-Latch - 2" Ball - A-Frame - Bolt-On - 10K # DM37ZR and the # DM14793-81 have the same ratings and will work the same. There is no pro or con to either, so I recommend going with the one that is the most cost effective at the time. I included videos of the # DM14793-81 for you to take a look at.

Hey Linda, thanks for reaching out! The Repair Kit for Atwood 2" Top Mount Coupler with Flip Latch AT88051 has been discontinued for a while because Atwood went out of business. For your application we'll need to get you a new coupler and for that I recommend checking out the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack Hole # DM14793-81 because it has the eZ Latch system that makes it quicker to connect your trailer. • Replacement for A-Frame Coupler With Yoke Latch
There isn't a way to convert a latch, and there aren't any yoke latch repair kits unfortunately, so the best we can offer is a replacement A-frame coupler. If you want to stick with the yoke-style latch you can use the 8,000 lb A-Frame Trailer Coupler - Yoke Latch # CA-5210-B. Or you can upgrade to the popular eZ Latch Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM14793-81. The eZ Latch just snaps right into place without having to mess with opening and closing it so this would be my recommendation...

  • Replacement for Atwood Yoke Style A-Frame Coupler For 2 Inch Hitch Ball
Atwood was bought out and their replacement parts are no longer available - including the repair kit you mentioned - so the best option is to replace that A-frame coupler with a new one that attaches to a 2 inch hitch ball. There is a similar option with a yoke latch, the A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5210-B. There is a bolt-on option as well if you'd like, the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler with Jack Hole - eZ-Latch # DM14793-81.

  • Solution for Attach Coupler to A-Frame that Would Need to Be Extended 1977 Apache Roamer
Only solution will be to extend out the frame rails of your trailer so that you can install a standard coupler on to them. None of the options out there are going to be large enough to fit your frame channels that basically start too far apart. What I'd do (if you can) is go with the Demco coupler # DM14793-81 that you referenced and have a fabricator come out and have him decide the best way to extend out your frame to install this. • Replacing Weld-On Coupler with Bolt-On Coupler on Older Winnebago Travel Trailer
We have a large selection of A-Frame couplers like what would be on your older Winnebago travel trailer. You can certainly remove your weld-on coupler and replace it with a bolt-on unit, as long as the new coupler's capacity is correct for your trailer and it is the proper size for fitment. I just recommend sanding and painting the tongue after removal. Also just keep in mind that you will need to drill some holes into the tongue so that you can install a bolt-on coupler to replace it. Well, that is a coupler, though it is in bad shape. It is a bottom mount or underslung coupler like # CA-5335-B. You can check the ball cavity to see if it is in working order but all that corrosion makes me think that using its coupler is not going to work. In order to use a regular coupler you will likely have to cut off that bottom mount coupler so a new coupler will be able to be lowered on the ball. The jack will also have to come out to be able to install a new coupler. As long...
