Availability Of Yoke-Style A-Frame Coupler For 2-5/16" Ball

Updated 03/25/2026 | Published 03/19/2026

Question:

Hello, I am looking at the Yoke Style A-Frame trailer coupler CA-5210-B. I have seen this same Atwood Yoke Style before in a 2-5/16 size, but I cannot find them for purchase anywhere. Is this something that you might know where to find? Thank you!

Hey Sam, thanks for reaching out. We do have 2-5/16" A-frame couplers, but I am not seeing we have one with a yoke-style latch.

If you want something similar, the A-Frame Trailer Coupler # CA-5280-RB fits a 2-5/16" ball and has a squeeze-style latch.

Or if you want the best we offer, that will be the Demco # DM16680-52 which has their patented EZ-latch. It has a composite latch handle and makes for a super secure connection. This has been my go-to coupler for a few years now.

Just curious, what do you like so much about the yoke latch? Would you be willing to go with something different?

I bought this extended A-Frame couple for one reason. I wanted to be able to open my tail gate to access my generator for boondocking nights without unhitching and all the other gear in the back. THIS IS THE WAY THEY SHOULD COME FROM THE FACTORY!! Took a trip to Alaska, 51 days on the road and half the time I didn't unhook. Just do it, easy install for a welder dude lol. Pictures on request

@TimP That’s an awesome use case, Tim! Being able to drop the tailgate and access your generator without unhooking is a huge win, especially on long trips like that Alaska run. Sounds like it really paid off in convenience. Love the “this is how it should come from the factory” comment too, hard to argue with that. Appreciate you sharing your experience!
