Video Transcript for Review of Gen-Y Hitch A-Frame Trailer Coupler - Black A Frame Mount Trailer Coupler - GY67JV

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Gen Y hitch black A-frame mount trailer coupler. Now this heavy duty a-frame coupler is going to let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. It's going to give you a connection point for your two and five sixteenths inch hitch ball. And this high quality trailer coupler is designed for improved safety, durability, and especially ease of use when towing.

Now this does have a weight capacity of 21,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 2000 pounds. And the snap latch mechanism as you see right here, is going to ensure a simple secure hookup and disconnect. You're just going to drop this coupler over the hitch ball and the latch will snap into place. The latch must be open before coupling. I do have it opened right now and it's gonna be kind of tricky, but let me see if I can give you just a brief demonstration of how this is going to work.

Obviously this is going to work best when you have this mounted on your trailer, but let me go back out to my wide view here and I've got my two and five 16th inch ball here. So I'm just going to simply drop this onto the ball. Again, I do have that latch open. So as you can see, I have this drop. I dropped it on there and that did latch.

And then to disconnect this, you're just going to turn this and then that's going to allow the ball just to drop right on out. And so even though I don't have this mounted, you can see just how simple this is going to be. So it's gonna be all the more easier when you have this mounted to your trailer. So hopefully that little awkward demonstration gave you an idea of what this is gonna, how this is gonna operate. But it's gonna be very easy to use, very easy to couple, and then uncouple.

Now this is going to be a bolt on or weld on installation. The heavy duty steel construction is designed to withstand the stresses of towing, even under challenging conditions. It's gonna give you durability, reliability, which is gonna be essential for long-term use. This does have a zinc primer and a powder coat finish. It's all gonna work together to help bite off corrosion. I think the finish is gonna hold up really well. Gen Y is known for making and designing very robust, long lasting products and I don't believe this is any exception to that. Now lemme see if I can give you some measurements here. Let me line this up here just so you're gonna be able to see my tape measure here. So I'm gonna put a ruler right here. Lemme get my tape measure here first because I wanna try to give you just an idea of the length here. So I'm gonna put my ruler here and just put my tape measure up to that. So from end to end, we're sitting pretty close to 15 inches long. And then looking at the width here at the widest point, looks like we're sitting pretty close to 12 inches wide. Bring that there, there we go. See that a little bit better. And then looking at the overall height, we're sitting pretty close to four and three quarters inches tall at the tallest point. And then let me give you an overhead view here real quick. I just wanted to show you what the top of this is going to look like. If you're wondering about the distance on center between those mounting holes. Pretty close to three inches looks like. So if you are looking for a dependable, easy to use, and a safer way to couple your trailer, this is really gonna be a great option for you to consider. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
