Trailer Towing Parts Recommendations for a 2019 Toyota Highlander with a Trailer Hitch

I have a 2019 Toyota Highlander SE AWD V6 that i have installed a tow hitch on. I would like to know a complete list of what other items i need to tow travel trailer? Like standard wiring harness and brake controller ect.

Hey Jeremy, thanks for reaching out!
In addition to the trailer hitch you've installed on your 2019 Toyota Highlander, here are the rest of the parts I recommend using for towing a travel trailer:
- Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter # 22119
- Mounting Brackets # PK12711U and # 18136
- Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller for Tekonsha Harness # RED63RR
- Mounting Panel # RED48FR
We'll also need to get you a ball mount or a weight distribution system like the etrailer Adjustable Ball Mount # e66PR or Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU36FR. We recommend using a weight distribution system whenever the trailer weighs at least half the weight of the tow vehicle. I'm pretty sure this is what your towing setup falls under, but I'm also adding some help article for you to reference for this.
I really like the Tekonsha wiring kit because it gives you everything you need for wiring that includes a brake controller connection, and then the Tow-Pro Elite controller is a favorite of mine because it uses the mounting panel to give your Highlander an OEM look and it uses color coding to help you know what's going on instead of having to remember codes.
