Bulky brake boxes can crowd your knees or block dash access, but this one mounts nearly flush and is only 1" thick. The included bracket tucks it neatly under the dash so it looks clean and stays out of the way. Automatic leveling means it can mount at any angle, and you still have easy reach to the manual override when you need it.
The TriFlex NEXT senses your vehicle’s deceleration through a built-in 3-axis accelerometer and matches trailer braking power in real time. If you brake lightly, the trailer eases in; if you brake hard, it follows with equal force. That smooth proportional control stops push-pull motion and cuts down on wear across your whole setup. It works with trailers up to 4 axles (8 brake assemblies) and supports both electric and electric-over-hydraulic brakes.
Every trailer and load feels different, so this controller gives you full control over braking power. Use the gray rocker switch to set gain between 0.5 and 9.9 in 0.5 increments, then fine-tune how aggressively the brakes engage using the black rocker switch on a scale of 1 to 9. That lets you dial in stopping force exactly where you want it—firm for heavy loads, softer for lighter ones—without ever locking up the brakes.
The large LED display makes it easy to check braking power, sensitivity, or error codes while driving. You can dim the brightness or switch to night mode so it doesn’t glare during dark drives. Full-text diagnostics simplify troubleshooting if something comes up, helping you keep your setup safe and ready to roll.
Wiring jobs can be a hassle, but here it’s just plug-and-play. The custom-fit harness connects directly to your vehicle’s factory brake control port under the dash—no cutting or splicing required. Once connected, continuous diagnostics start running automatically, protecting against shorts, reversed polarity, and battery drain with built-in sleep mode after five minutes of inactivity.
