Thanks for the information Sarah! The Curt TriFlex NEXT Trailer Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness item # C87QV includes the only adapter you'll need to install this brake controller on your 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L.

The custom adapter or harness included with the Curt item # C87QV plugs directly into a factory plug located under your Jeep's dashboard on the driver's side. I attached a couple of pictures below, but you will find it taped to a harness just to the left of the steering column up a bit from where your left foot rests.

The Curt TriFlex item # C87QV is a proportional brake controller that slows or stops your trailer with the same force as your Jeep is using to slow or stop. This is the safest type of controller and it's also the easiest on your equipment.

What kind of trailer are you towing?

The hardest part of the install was locating the plug. It was a little more to the left on our Jeep. Once I found it the install was easy. The controller has been working well and we feel a lot safer feeling it working.

We installed the controller on our 26 Wagoneer L, it had one pigtail that plugged into the controller wiring and the into the plug above the brake. It required adjustment for the sensitivity due to our relatively light trailer which entailed an open parking lot for adjustment on the move. Overall very easy.
