How to Reset Curt Triflex Brake Controller

Question:
My system is just showing two lines and brakes not working. Is there any way to reset it?

Expert Reply:
Try unplugging the brake controller for 10 seconds or so and then replugging it in. Sometimes brake controllers like the part # C24VV just need to be reset and this is the corret way to do that.

After 8 months of using the C51140 with no issues the controller now flashes either L5 or the output I set at 8.5. This happens even after the truck has been off overnight, or just while driving straight even without hitting the brakes or making any adjustments. After testing all wiring connections the issue is still present. Does the unit have a warranty?
