Question:

I HAVE A 2016 WK2, IT IS ALREADY WIRED FOR A TRAILER HITCH. HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT HAVE A HOOK UP FOR THE TRAILER. I NEED AN ADAPTER

If your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not have a trailer connector at the back but is pre-wired with the factory tow package then you can add a 4- and 7-Way connector using # HM40975-11933. Please note: It may be necessary to see a local Jeep dealer to activate the tow package wiring circuit.

Models that did not come with the factory tow package would need to use # 118727 to add the 4-Way and then # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way.

For a brake controller, if your Jeep did come with the factory tow package you would need # TK93VR for a Tekonsha brake controller such as the P2 # 90885. Curt controllers use # C51446. If you have a brake controller already let me know what it is and I can recommend the best harness for it.

If the Jeep did not come with the factory tow package then brake controller will need to be hardwired in using the ETBC7 kit mentioned above. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation.
