Question:
I have a 2019 grand Cherokee and I do not have that black box which you are talking about. I can find any wires for the brake controller except for the blue wire thats under the main fuse block under the hood. What are my options?

For your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the harness connection point is under the dash to the left hand side. I've attached a photo to help as well as a video of this installation. If you are using a Tekonsha Brake Controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 then you will use # 3045-P for your wiring harness. If you are using a Curt controller like # C51110 you will use harness # C51446. Finally if you are using a controller like the RedArc Tow Pro Elite # 331-EBRH-ACCV2, then you will use the pigtail adapter # 3045-S.
Question:
I do not have that plug either. It is easier to run a 3 wire to the rear wiring harness at the trailer harness? Since the tail light and blinker is on the same circuit bec I can pick up power and brake signal and ground it under the dash.

We haven't seen your 2019 model year yet, but my Tech contact at Curt confirms those locations mentioned. If you do not have the wiring, then you will need to use the hardwiring kit for your brake controller like # 5506 if you have a 7-way or # ETBC7 if you need to convert from a 4-way to a 7-way.
