Can You Transfer a Trailer Brake Controller from Ford to Chevy?

Question:

Are trailer brake controllers interchangeable from a Ford to a chevy?. I need a different vehicle and wondering if I can get one now or should I wait for the next vehicle

I use it with my VW Atlas n Jeep wrangler. Harness plugs are the same. Works great just need to recalibrate when swapping. Super simple

@EddieS Wow, I didn't realize the VW and Jeep Wrangler can use the same pigtail. You learn something new everyday! What are you towing with the Jeep?
