Are trailer brake controllers interchangeable from a Ford to a chevy?. I need a different vehicle and wondering if I can get one now or should I wait for the next vehicle

Yes, you can absolutely reuse an aftermarket trailer brake controller like part # C24VV when switching from a Ford to a Chevy, so you don’t necessarily have to wait. The controller itself is universal, but the part that usually changes is the vehicle specific wiring harness. Many plug and play setups are designed for a specific make and model, so when you switch vehicles you’ll typically just need a different adapter harness to match the new truck, or you can hardwire it if there is not a harness available.

I use it with my VW Atlas n Jeep wrangler. Harness plugs are the same. Works great just need to recalibrate when swapping. Super simple

@EddieS Wow, I didn't realize the VW and Jeep Wrangler can use the same pigtail. You learn something new everyday! What are you towing with the Jeep?
