Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the MEC 10 foot RV propane trunk line hose. That's right folks. So your camper RV propane trunk line, this is the line that carries propane through the RV to the downstream component. So if you're replacing a worn out, cracked, maybe a damaged one for whatever reason, you want to make sure that you get the length correct. You want to make sure that the fittings that you're swapping the hose out with are the same as well.
So let's get a closer look at them. So we have a 3/8 inch male NPT or national pipe thread fitting side that threads into a compatible 3/8 inch female NPT fitting port. And that will not use any kind of sealant or threadlock or anything. That flare is what makes that connection. On the other end, you got a 3/8 inch female flare.
So technically this would thread into this, but obviously we're not doing that here. But this is what the other end of that would look like that you'd be putting into. And when I say swivel, that means I can turn the nut here with a wrench when I'm installing it. So that's the good part. I don't have to worry about twisting the hose.
Everything's a quick, easy connection. Once I get everything connected, I always want to make sure I use leak test, gas leak detection. We sell some here separately. If you don't have some, pick it up. As far as the length, 10 foot should be long enough to get you where you need to.
We do carry these in multiple lengths. This hose is a thermoplastic hose, and it also uses brass ends that are crimped, those brass ferrules. So it is a nice heavy duty hose. It is safety regulated for propane up to 350 PSI. It is UL and CGA approved as well. Well folks, not much more to go over, just a 10 foot replacement MEC RV propane truck line hose. I'm Steve with etrailer. As always, stay safe when you're towing and have a great day.
