This kit includes a junction box so you can quickly and easily connect the wires from the included trailer connector to your trailer's wiring.

by:

The eTrailer 7-way junction box was a correct fit for the upgrade of my 4500-lb, dual-axle trailer with EOH control of the new disc brake system. The junction box was mounted on the trailer winch brace, allowing close proximity to the EOH controller and the breakaway kit. The box has multiple wiring ports, rubber grommets, and a heavy-duty, 7-pin wiring harness to reach the tow vehicle. The terminals within the box allows for proper connections of lighting, DC systems, EOH brake wire using crimped eyes mounting on solid terminal screws. Very clean, watertight, and easy to troubleshoot for any bad connections.

by:

The box is well designed with multiple cable entry points to choose from. The cord with connector is preinstalled. One negative is the insulated lugs provided for use on the trailer side wiring. Make sure you check the wire sizes in the trailer side loom before you use them. They were not the correct size for the smaller gauge wires on my trailer harness and could be pulled right off after crimping.

by:

My wire colors did not match. Old plug did. The correct light function I had to use trail and error.

by:

The product is great and service on your end is great. The problem I have is shipping. I ordered on Thursday afternoon and shipped immediately. It did not arrive until Wednesday afternoon next week. Also the tracking is lacking. If you could use UPS instead of USPS might help.
Thanks

Wiring into a junction box makes so much sense and easier. I’m looking forward to having better lighting and brakes along with easier access to wire in my auxiliary lights.

by:

This item was shipped in the same box as a 12K jack. The junction box was destroyed. After calling etrailer, they promptly shipped out a new junction box so I could finish wiring my trailer.

by:

This 7-way upgrade kit with junction box came a mere 2 days after I ordered it, which is great. The entire connector set came nicely assembled and it has everything I need to easily connect it in place of my damaged 7-way cord & connector. This upgrade will assure easy replacement should I squish my cord with my tailgate again. All I will need to do is solder the provided connectors to my existing wire set and get 2 bolts to bolt the box to the 5th wheel hitch. This kit is very robust and is even better than I expected.

by:

A quality made item. The description was not clear to me. I misunderstood the RV Connector therfore I couldn't use the item

by:

Nice quality and fast shipping, if you have any questions about a product the friendly staff are very knowledgeable and helpful

by:

The etrailer web site is so easy to navigate and ordering is super easy. The delivery is really fast.

by:

Product is great easy installation. Would recommend to anyone.

by:

Over-all it seems good. I was missing one nut on one electrical connector and the plastic seems a bit cheap. I will wait to see if it holds up over time.

by:

I went with etrailer over taking a risk with a similar Amazon product because I felt I could trust etailer's products better. I wasn't disappointed. Great quality and all the parts you need to do the job.

by:

Very nice junction box. I like all the options included for trailer wiring installation.

by:

Junction Box is flimsy, difficult or impossible to seal and the studs inside rust.

by:

Installation of this product was extremely smooth. Installed on a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. With the harness it was plug and play.

by:

Great item to replace your old trailer hook up. I did fine the almost same 7-way kit and junction box for less than etrailer charges $26.00), but the kit did not include the connectors that you can purchase for less then $5.00 at HF.

by:

a very nice upgrade from the proprietary Lance 6 pin.

by:

Easily ordered, delivered on time, installed in less than 1hr. and most importantly, did not leak when it poured last night. Thought it might be over kill at first, but I am very glad I chose this product.

by:

Great, makes testing simple

by:

Easy mount and came with labels for each color wire to match up your wires on your trailers. Recommend for anyone with a newer truck with the 7 plug.

by:

Good quality, took a long time to arrive at etrailer which held up my whole order. Ashley though was very helpful and kept in communication

I'm glad to hear Ashley kept you informed and was helpful to you, even though there was a delay in your order Michael. What are you hauling?

by:

Fast shipping!! Everything was in good condition!! I will leave a review when I get the new lights and 7 way hooked up!! Thanks again guys!!

by:

This product is very nice, check the connectors inside the box to make sure everything looks great. My ground wasn’t crimped well but Joann immediately sent out another one without question getting it the next day. Great customer service! And this one was perfect.

  • Can Hydraulic Brakes of Demco Tow Dolly be Converted to Electric Brakes
Since Demco uses 3,500 drum brake assemblies part # DMSB24429M and # DMSB24428M what you'd need is similar 3,500 electric brake assemblies like the etrailer part # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left hand side and # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right hand side. To wire these up you'd just need 10 gauge wire like the part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot. Then to add a 7-way the easiest way to do that is with the 7-way junction box # e99011.

  • How to Replace a Lance 6-Pin Plug w/ a Standard 7-Way Connector
Yes, it will work. You'll just need to cut the Lance 6-pin connector out and rewire it into the etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector item # e99011. Here are the individual functions of that Lance 6-pin: Black Wire: 8 Gauge, 12-volt power White Wire: 8 Gauge, Ground (-) Green Wire: 14 Gauge, Running Lights Red Wire: 16 Gauge, Left Turn Signal Brown Wire: 16 Gauge, Right Turn Signal Yellow Wire: 16 Gauge, Back-up Lights

  • Looking For Cord For Trailer That Plugs Into Truck
Hello Pat, thanks for getting in touch. We deal in all sorts of cords and plugs for trailers, so we most likely will have what you are looking for. Can you tell me exactly what you are needing this cord for? What kind of plug is on your truck currently? Is it the standard 7-way round plug like part # e99011? Let me know what you need it for and as much other information as you can and I am happy to look into it.

  • Looking For Replacement 7-Way Plug With Double Prong Design
Hey Will, thanks for reaching out. What I recommend for replacing your 7-way is the following: - etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector # e99011 Wiring your connections thru the junction box helps keep them organized and out of the elements. This plug has the double prong design I believe you are looking for. Take a look at the picture I included. Is that what you are looking for?

  • Recommended Junction Box and 7-Way Connector to your Replace a Lance 6-Pin and How to Wire It
Hey Carl, welcome back! You've done a great job of identifying the Lance 6-pin wiring functions and matching them up to the etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box item # e99011. You don't need to worry about the blue wire for the trailer brakes so you can leave it open. You'll need to connect your Yellow Wire: 16 Gauge, Back-up Lights to the yellow wire on the junction box/7-way cable. Did you just get your Lance camper? We get these questions frequently and it still...

  • Replacement Brakes and Axle for 1997 Magic Tilt Boat Trailer
Hey Michael! I would add hydraulic surge brakes since it is a boat trailer. Dealing with the hydraulic lines and fluid I would say a little more involved upfront, but the better option overall. • Parts Needed To Add Brakes To Single Axle Boat Trailer
Hey Steven, thanks for reaching out. It may be possible to add brakes to your trailer. The first thing you will want to verify is that your axle has a brake flange. It should look something like part # 4-35. If no brake flange is present, they can be welded on by a shop, or you can replace the axle entirely. If you do have a brake flange, this means brakes can be added. From there I will need to gather a bit of info from you. I will need to know the weight capacity of your axle, as that...

  • Parts Needed to Install a Autowbrake and 7-Way for Towing w/a 2022 Toyota RAV-4 Hybrid
Hey Daniel, thanks for the part number. You'll still need to install a 7-way connector on your 2022 Toyota RAV-4 hybrid to power the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller item # 3430001. The 4-Way like item # C59236 that fits your RAV-4 does not supply power. To add a 7-way, I recommend the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit item # ETBC7L. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your RAV-4 with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on...

  • Should I Put a 7-Way Blade or Round in Place of 6-Way
Hey Nick, since the 7-way blade is a lot more popular than the 7-way round I would definitely recommend going with a 7-way flat. For that we have the part # e99011 which comes with a junction box to make installing on your trailer as easy as possible. What does your tow vehicle have on it?

  • Parts Needed To Add Electric Drum Brakes To My Boat Trailer
Hey Brian, For electric brakes on your trailer I recommend the etrailer Electric Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA. This comes as a kit for 1 axle with both assemblies ready to slide onto your axle. those pair well with the Galvanized hub and drum assemblies # AKHD-655-6-G-K. These come with all necessary bearings, races and seals and the galvanized finish is great for marine applications. A good breakaway kit option I recommend is the Bright Way # 3802346 which comes as a full kit with the battery...

  • Parts Needed To Add Electric Drum Brakes To 1994 Jayco Pop-Up
Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out. We do have the 7" electric brakes and drums. Electric brakes are typically less expensive and easier to service than disc brakes. Both could work but for a pop-up camper electric drum brakes would do fine and be relatively easy to set up. As I said we do have the 7" brakes and drums but there are a few different spindle sizes so I will need you to confirm either your spindle diameter or bearing numbers. Also confirm the hub bolt pattern you want. The...

Hello Allen, thanks for reaching out. We do have the parts you will need to convert your trailer from surge to electric brakes, but there is no way to look up your trailer online to know exactly what parts you will need. • Can I Power the etrailer A-Frame Jack Through the 7 Way to Pull Power from Towed Battery?
Hello Kyle, Yes, our etrailer Electric Trailer Jack - A-Frame - 18" Lift - 3,500 lbs # e23ZV would be an excellent fit for your 2-horse trailer at 3,000 pounds. A 4-flat trailer connector only carries lighting functions (tail, turn, brake, and ground), so it does not provide a 12V power source and therefore cannot be used to power an electric jack. To run the jack from your tow vehicle, you’ll need to use the 7-way connector, which includes a dedicated 12V auxiliary power circuit. Connect...

The kit will give you a 7-way to hook into your truck plus the junction box to keep everything organized. • Looking For Good Quality 7-Way Trailer Side Pigtail
Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out. In my experience the most durable 7-way plugs are the "double prong" style like our part # e99011. They tend to make better contact and the plug typically stays more securely inserted compared to other "single prong" designs. This also comes with a junction box which I definitely recommend adding if you don't already have one. • Parts Needed To Add Electric Brakes To A BigTex 30SA Trailer
Hi Eric! I can definitely help you out with adding brakes to your BigTex 30SA. From the info I found, you have a 3,500 pound axle, so that makes it pretty easy to find the correct parts. However, there are two thing you will need to check to make sure these parts will indeed fit. First, make sure you have a flange on your axle that has 4 bolt holes in it (see attached image). You will also want to make sure that flange has the measurements included in the image. If you don't have that...

Guessing it's a 5 on 4-1/2, but I recommend checking if you are unsure (I included a picture that shows the easiest way to check). That 4 bolt pattern you have on the brake mounting flange means you have a 3,500 pound axle, so I would be surprised if you have a different bolt pattern.
