Replacement grease seals. Double-lip design helps keep water out and grease in.

by:

Etrailer always has what I need in trailer parts. They are reasonably priced and good quality. I hate shipping charges, but there's is comparatively small. I am completely satisfied with my order.

by:

good quality double lip seal, tolerances are perfect, great price, only reason I didn't give 5 stars was usually see a race sealer compound on outside surface of seals these are just raw.

by:

No one in town had these and I had no good reference numbers off of the old seal - etrailer's customer service reps helped me match up a new seal based on my axle make and bearing size and these are a perfect fit.

Thanks for taking the time to follow up with me. Ive only put a few hundred miles of use on the trailer but everything is working great. Ive actually recommended etrailer to my father, a friend of mine and anyone at work who would listen made easier by the fact that I had everything I ordered shipped to my job instead of home. Barring an emergency situation that requires an immediate solution you have my business in the future.

by:

According to what was looked up on the site for a match, is not a match. Then being told a return is not feasible due to shipping. So now I’m stuck with throwing them out.

by:

Exact replacement with double wiper which seems to be hard to find locally. Order spares!

by:

My trailer is 29 years old and I was very happy to find a replacement seal. Installed today and the fit was perfect.

by:

I am very glad I decided to buy these and at least have them on hand as I cleaned and relubed the inner and outer wheel bearings on my double-axle car hauler. I also bought 4-ea inner/outer bearing and seal kits from a local auto parts store (O'..y), of which I used two sets of bearings during my relube or replace operation, but did NOT use the seals from these bearing kits. The BIG reason for not using the O'..y bearing kit seals is this - I could not get them into the brake drum inner seal bore. The O'..y seals basically had NO bevel on the edge to facilitate getting them started into the seal bore.

After trying to get them started for several minutes without any success, I pulled one of the eTrailer double lip seals and was instantly impressed with how easily these were to get positioned and easily tapped into the seal bore. In no time at all, after getting the inner bearings dropped in, I had these eTrailer grease seals tapped into place.

And one more thing I liked - the O'..y grease seals were SINGLE lip with no tension spring to help keep them in contact with the spindle. I now have ALL of the eTrailer seals on all four wheels and so glad I got them. They are easy to get positioned for tapping into the seal bore AND with the double-lip design and tension spring to help keep them lightly against the spindle, I have no doubt they will provide long lasting protection of the bearings and spindles. Thank you eTrailer for having these much better seals and at a very reasonable price.

by:

I received the wrong seals. I was told I would have the correct ones ASAP. I had ordered the bearings and seals 2 weeks in advance. I had to drive around town and buy the correct seals so I could complete regreasing my wheel bearings so I could leave on time. I go tthe correct seals but I had to find them locally and twice the price so I could leave on my vacation.

by:

Great option to replace single seal with double seals for trailer wheels. Very fair pricing and shipping rates.

Glad we had the right size to keep things sealed up for you Gary! What kind of trailer are you working on?

by:

Install of parts went great no problems I’m giving four stars because I haven’t used my trailer yet with the new parts but I’m sure it’s worthy of 5 stars. timkin makes great stuff never had a issue with their bearings I’ve used them in tri axel hub bearing replacements.

by:

Grease seals were the perfect replacement for my old seals, y'all helped me find the replacement seals I needed when I couldn't find them by the original seal numbers, definitely saved me. Thanks again.

Thank you for reaching out! What is the weight rating of your axle? Unless it's a really old axle I should be able to make a recommendation based off of that. The Dexter Axle part number you sent in normally doesn't pull anything up on their system (although I'm not sure why) so I would need the serial number and/or a photo of the sticker in the middle of the axle for me to get any info from Dexter Axle.

Hey Al, Since your Dexter # 9919860 is a 3,500lb axle you'll need grease seals # RG06-050 which come as a pair. I'd get 3 pairs (6 seals) that way you have an extra incase one goes in funky and bends (I've repacked hundreds of hubs and it still happens from time to time). If you end up not needing the extras, you have em for next year! What kind of trailer are these axles on?

Additionally the # 84556UC3 is not going to fit your spindle because the # L68149 outer bearing it contains is going to be slightly too big. You could continue to use your old hubs and simply replace the bearings with the # LM48548 and # L44649. Hey Phillip, since we know you have 3,500 lb axles we can help but it's not based on the VIN. Since we don't know what brake assembly brand you have on your trailer but we do know capacity the correct replacement assemblies are the part # AKEBRK-35-SA. It's oftentimes more cost effective to just replace the assemblies instead of the individual components plus it's a lot harder to find the parts. Then for a grease seal you'd want the part # RG06-050.

Electric brakes, like part # 23-26-27, use 16 gauge wiring. However, we generally recommend using 10 gauge, like part # 10-2-1, to connect to the brakes because of how far the wiring generally has to be run. So you need to use butt connectors large enough for the 10 gauge wire, like part # DW05745-5.
