The Dexter 10" Hub-and-Rotor Assembly # K08-435-05 is designed to fit a 3,500LB trailer axle with the Inner Bearing # L68149, Outer Bearing # L44649 and Grease Seal # RG06-050. To confirm if this is what matches the axle on your 1990 Ranger Trail Boat Trailer, you will need to inspect your current hub for the bearing and seal information. If you are unable to find the information stamped on the bearings and seals you can measure your spindle with a Digital Caliper # PTW80157. Once you have the measurements for these, let me know and I can confirm the correct parts needed.

Bud, I am looking for a hub for my 1995 Ranger 487VS Bass Boat Trailer. Currently, I have a 10" 5 on 4 1/2 hub with inner bearings of L68149. The ranger manual also says the outer bearing is a L68149. Is there a dexter hub that will fit my axel? The dexter 10" you referenced above has the same inner bearing but different outer bearing numbers. How can I determine if that dexter hub # K08-435-05 will fit?

@JacobW I would pull the spindle cap, nut and washer to verify which inner bearing you have on your boat trailer. I am not aware of any hubs which both use the same # L68149 bearing for both inner and outer.

@BudM Do you think the age of it is the reason? The manual calls for the same bearings for inner and outer. Are straight spindles generally older? Does E trailer have straight spindles?

@JacobW I don't believe it has to do with the age of the trailer. It honestly sounds like a typo in your owners manual. While we do have straight spindles they are smaller at 1" # TRU59FR or 1-1/16" # TRU44FR.
