Hey Al,

Since your Dexter # 9919860 is a 3,500lb axle you'll need grease seals # RG06-050 which come as a pair. I'd get 3 pairs (6 seals) that way you have an extra incase one goes in funky and bends (I've repacked hundreds of hubs and it still happens from time to time). If you end up not needing the extras, you have em for next year!

What kind of trailer are these axles on?

Thanks Samuel. This is for my Flagstaff 25SRK travel trailer. The Serial # on the axle is 613632073081 Nev-R-Adjust Al

I used these seals when I regreased the bearings on my camper (3500# axles). Seals fit well and have done their job for the past year. And I agree grab a couple of extra ones along with a bearing kit just in case.

@DavidM Glad to hear the seals have worked good for ya! And smart to pick up extras, I keep a handful of 3,500lb and 5,200 - 7,000lb 2.25" seals in my tool box at work just in case.

There is a special tool for removing the old ones I use, but they still get messed up when removing. For installing the new ones, I usually hit them nice and square with a hammer and block of wood, like a piece of 2x4. They usually go in without messing them up doing that.

@Brian Yeah to remove the old one there's a seal puller # PTW1219. I do the same thing with installing em, I use a 2x4 or a 4x4 chunk about a foot long if its a large hub and drum assembly.

I've used these grease seals on my trailer and they worked great. Buying extra will cut your down time the next time you have a problem. I have learned, the hard way, to have a fully greased spare trailer wheelbearing assembly and seals in my truck. It beats having to leave your trailer on the side of the road to hunt for parts. Just my 2 cents. Can't go wrong with etrailer.

@SteveS Absolutely a great idea to have a whole extra hub! I'm a sucker for spare parts for mine. I think I could rebuild most of the trailer from the side of the highway if I needed to. Lol
