RV Steps with 24 Inch Wide, 3 Steps

Step in with confidence. A 24 inch wide step gives you solid, roomy footing, while 3 steps help reach the ground without the extra size and weight of a taller setup. It's a steady upgrade from rickety factory stairs and suits campers or trailers. During install, level the landing and check door and screen clearance so nothing scrapes when you close up.
Level the landing first by reducing the leg length; this helps prevent the door from scraping. If the screen door still hits the step bracket, mark the contact points and trim the bottom of the screen door frame: mark the width at the bracket edges, measure up about a half inch, and remove that section. Trim a bit more only if needed.
It can be, especially if you want to avoid the extra size and weight of a 4-step. Confirm your ground-to-entry height to see where the bottom step lands. If it still sits high, consider a 4-step. A wider tread can make it easier for pets and people with mobility concerns to get in and out.
Measure the ground-to-mounting-plate height and your bolt pattern to confirm a close fit. Installation can be straightforward, but remove the threshold and level the steps by shortening the legs so the door doesn't scrape. If the bracket has more holes than the supplied hardware, add fasteners for extra security. Designs can vary even if parts look alike, so verify frame and bolt pattern match.
Check assembly and support braces before mounting. A brace behind the third step installed backwards can leave one side without proper support and cause sway. Verify both side braces are oriented the same, confirm all hardware is present, then test by stepping on each side to ensure solid support before final install.
