The Lippert RV Step # LC3747452 is designed for an entry height of 15-5/8" - 17-5/8" but from what you described it sounds like you have a higher entry height so you either need to use a different step solution altogether. We do have a variety of options but you'll have to adjust your mounting bracket width to accommodate a different step assembly.

The Replacement Steps # LC3722617 is for a Lippert 32 Series which mounts to a 25-1/2" bracket width and is designed for an entry height range of 20-1/8" - 22-1/8" so it has 2 steps. I'm attaching a dimensional photo so you can see the top step is much closer to the coach.

I recommend checking these dimensions with what you have to make sure it all fits properly.

Thank you for the extra info! With this in mind I recommend using the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly # LC3711363. This is ideal for 13" - 15" heights and measures 7" down from the initial step so it almost cuts the height to your motorhome in half. Attached is a review video for you to check out.
