Very easy process, good prices and my products were shipped on time and were delivered on time. The instructional videos online helped make installation easy!
Enjoy an easier climb with 4 steps that smooth out the rise for you and your pets. On a towable camper, the solid feel helps cut trailer shake and makes early-ins and late-outs quieter. Measure doorway width, threshold height, and screen door clearance first; some installs may call for light trimming at the threshold or screen door so everything closes cleanly.
Start by removing the decorative roll plate at the threshold to lower the step bracket. If needed, trim just the lip of the threshold to your marks. If the door is still tight, the bottom of the screen door frame may need a small trim. Screen protectors can interfere and may need to be removed for clearance.
Installation is generally straightforward. Plan about an hour and a helper to hold the steps while you align and adjust. Basic tools and a drill are typically all that's needed, and some campers see a direct swap from 3 steps to 4. Extend the steps to the ground to support them during install.
Measure doorway width at the widest point and threshold height on level ground. Lay out and count the hardware before starting so you're not short mid-install. Have a helper, and be prepared for small adjustments like notching a door frame or threshold to get proper door clearance if needed.
4 steps make the rise between steps more comfortable and help stability. Shorter users and small dogs tend to handle the lower rise more easily. On uneven campsites, the extra step can reduce how high you have to lift your foot at the door.
They can, but confirm your entry height against the 4-step range. If your camper sits near the upper end of that range, consider moving to 5 steps for an easier first step. Measure with the trailer on level ground to be sure.
