Question:
I have truck camper with tailgate down. Would this work? Or do you have a better suggestion? Thank you! Ryan Brophy Camper Scissor Steps - 3 Steps - Aluminum - Non-Slip Tread - 24 Wide - 300 lbs Part Number: AS23

Appreciate you reaching out Ryan,
The best way to determine if the Brophy Tailgate Scissor Step # AS23 will work with your F150 is to measure from the top of the tailgate down to the ground. That measurement will help determine whether the steps are the correct height.
To secure the Brophy Scissor steps you'll need to check the available mounting space on your tailgate. The Brophy Tailgate Scissor Step Mounting Bracket # TSSB measures about 18 1/8" wide and the mounting pins are spaced 15" apart center to center, so you'll need enough room to drill those mounting holes and install the bracket securely.
Do you currently have any steps on the camper or are you starting from scratch for your setup?

We use the steps on our hay wagon, and they work great. Matter a fact we are getting ready for a 4th of July parade. They fold up quickly and are sturdy, but not overly heavy. Make sure you measure correctly. Would have been nice if they supplied a way to attach a photo in this post. Very happy with this purchase.

Sorry Ryan I can't help you on this. I have a Lance truck camper and the tailgate is removed. I measured from the entry to the ground and the 3 steps work fine. I just use a couple of 2x6 lumber on the bottom support to level up the steps on higher ground. Phil

The quality of the steps is excellent. I knew that I would have to modify the step for my proposed use. I use the 3 step on a 2004 Itasca class-C entrance. I could not use the 3 step height on the entrance and the 2 step was too short. By removing the upper hardware and reinstalling the attach hardware on the back of the step, the height was perfect for my class-C motor home. Carefully drilling out the rivets and then using 1/4-20 bolts with washers and self-locking nuts to assemble (without the upper two vertical long pieces and the 2 horizontal pieces) and then attached the mounting assembly to the back of the top step. I have used this now for over a year without any issues.
