About a year ago I called etrailer looking for a brake controller for a Lexus LX600. They couldn’t be more helpful. Of all the local places I called, nobody had a clue and couldn’t help me. Then it hit
Me. I recalled my last experience with these guys and they saved me and walked me through the installation. You can’t find that kind of service anywhere these days.
This fit the lower dash panel on my 2105 Highlander. The blank was a pain in the butt to get at from the back side to push out, so I made certain the controller was properly installed on it before pushing it in. Worked out well.

I am very careful with anything for my Taco. I had to install a brake controller to tow a double axle trailer with electric brakes. The Redarc Elite was not only easy to install it exceeded my expectations in its operation. Above all the control switch for it looks as good as a factory install. Nice job.

Operates as designed.
Have never dealt with a company more on top their game…excellent customer service and follow-through. Personalized, friendly, coordinated ordering. Even provide direct line contact to the CSR that assisted with my order in case there are issues or need to contact for additional equipment.

Perfect fit in our 2020 Toyota 4Runner. Saved me from drilling out an exiting switch blank, so if I were ever to remove the controller to sell the truck it could easily be returned to stock.
Oddly, the trim bezel that comes with the TowPro Elite to go behind the control knob won't fit properly, as the knob can't be depressed when it's in place. No matter, as it's not needed anyway and looks fine without it.

Still pleased with how this switch fits and integrates into our 4Runners instrument panel. I wasnt certain that using the far left side blank would prove convenient rather than the partially hidden one to the right of the steering column thats closer to hand, but it has proven to be a good, readily accessible place for the control knob. Also loving the RedArc TP Elite controller. Strongly recommend it. Note that while the application list shows 2009-2012 4Runner for this mounting panel, it fits perfectly in our 2020, and should therefore fit MY2010-2022 models, since they use the same switches and blanks.

Looks nice, but did not fit my 2005 Tacoma. It was not listed to fit, I just took a gamble. I just modified my existing blank knock out.

Exactly as advertised!! I load the trailer with 5,000 lbs of hardwood logs, set the switch on “9” and can feel the brakes stopping the trailer perfectly. Highly recommend !!

Hey J, I reached out to Redarc and the panel is reversible as needed. If you pop off the button panel by pressing on the two clips to release the switch insert it can be turned 180 degrees to the correct orientation. Then it can be pushed back into place again.
Just as easy as can be. Test run was successful on my new TA trailer.
Haven't installed it yet, but looking at the etrailer installation video, it should be an easy install. Great help from Andrew in customer service to make sure I ordered what I needed

Hey James, I wanted to check in to see if you were able to get the panel installed and how it went.
Mounting panel insert for Redarc Tow Pro Elite brake controller installation
This insert is for a 2020 Toyota Tacoma and is pre drilled for the Redarc Tow Pro control knob. Just snap it in place where the blank insert was located, eliminating the need to drill holes in the original insert panel. Makes the job neater, quicker and professional looking. See accompanying photo.

One note...There are not a lot of late model Land Cruisers on the road. Toyota only sells about 3-4,000 a year so finding videos and guides for installation is a bit of a challenge. I found some FAQ's on etrailer.com but the information seemed inaccurate or at least not very helpful.
I know the LC comes with a two package and is prewired but it takes some doing to locate it. I remember directions and I found some install help on another site and that helped.
In any event, I appreciate your help. I have attached a photo of the installed Redarc!
The Redarc Pro Liberty Brake Controller came with both types of mounting panels. So I have two extras of each type. Wish the description of the Brake Controller told us that. Both mounting panels work great and are an exact fit for my 2021 Tacoma.
This mounting panel for my RedArc controller worked great on my 2022 Tacoma OR . I did have to trim a bit of plastic to make it fit . No big deal .
Very happy mounting panel. Looks factory equipment in my 2019 4Runner. Or at least it will when I white out the letters like another reviewer did.

Shortly after I wrote this review I used liquid white out to fill in the letters. Looks like it came from the factory.
Received package okay and installed it in a couple of hours into 2021 4RUNNER. You can almost get away with not removing any panels as I reached up and replaced plug no problem but I did remove panel by the mat to place the main unit. I also ordered the knock out and used the spot by the inverter and not lower left as some videos showed. Lights up and will test when trailer arrives. Cheers
This part fit my 2022 4 Runner just fine but I didn't realize that the Brake Controller kit came with one already so I didn't end up needing it.
So far everything is working fine wirering and red ark braking system easy DIY video installation from etrailer looking forward to next season.
