Mounting bracket for 7-way standard connectors. Includes screws and nuts.

Features:

  • Use this mounting bracket to attach your 7-way plug to your vehicle
  • Black powder coat resists corrosion
  • Includes all screws and nuts required for mounting

Specs:

  • Mounting hole diameter: 2-1/16"
  • Overall width of bracket: 2-3/4"
  • Distance between vehicle mounting bolt holes: 2-1/4" on center
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Dimensions of the mounting hole

Note: Does not work with Curt 7-way plugs, use C67UR instead.

For a no-drill option, use this part with the Short Bracket (#18140) or Long Bracket (#18136). Clamp the short or long bracket to the hitch and attach the trailer connector mount to the no-drill bracket. A few Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch Class III, IV and V trailer hitches have the no-drill brackets already installed on them.

My first order didn't come with the mounting bracket for the 7 way plug, and so I emailed and they told me I needed to purchase this bracket and the holes and the size doesn't match up with the plug.

An alternate bracket that would work better would be part # HM48625 as it gives you more slots to match to the connector.

Prior to ordering the wiring harness and mounting brackets for my truck, I called etrailer.com to ensure I was identifying the right products. The customer service person I spoke to was very knowledgeable. The shipment arrived on time. The wiring harness worked and continues to work well (easy install). The bracket however had a slight issue with fit. I spoke to etrailer.com again and they quickly rectified the issues and sent a new bracket at no cost. Things don't always go right, but it is how we respond to issues that matter. These guys have it together. Well done.

A versatile mounting plate. It came with several mounting suggestions.
Made converting from 4 flat to 7 round an easy project.

Holding up fine. Still mounted solidly.

This bracket does not have a matching hole pattern for the Curt connector. Had to drill four new holes in bracket to make it work. Not sure witch connector it is compatible with because there is no info in description.

This is a Draw-tite connector. Please take a look at this expert answer that has the dimensions so you can tell which wiring will work and which will not:

Need to update your site to not suggest a part that doesn’t fit the product your purchasing since there’s no way to determine the bolt pattern, the harness worked great, going to a local dealer to try and find the mounting bracket>

I'm sure this items works great, the issue is that this was shown on the same page as the 7-pole harness and the bolt pattern does not match. Can't use it. Need to keep the suggestions the same as the product you purchase.

It looks like you purchased Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter part 22114 for the 2017 Ford Transit T350. The 7-way plug that comes with the Tekonsha kit requires the Mounting Bracket and Installation Hardware part PK12711U. If you do not want to drill you can also use the no drill bracket part C57202 with the bracket.

by:

This mounting bracket was suggested on your website, but it really doesn't work with the harness I purchased (Item 118275). Only one mounting hole on the bracket lines up with the face plug of harness. I would have thought it would have been a better fit. It's just a universal bracket that still needs quite a bit of work,

Most of our brackets are universal so that they fit a variety of wiring harnesses. You can try this item, #C58000, as it is known to work with item 118275.

Works well. Could use rustproofing, especially on the attachment bolts.

It works very well.

by:

Could not use. This is not the correct part for the T-One vehicle wiring harness (118266). The website stated this one fit my Frontier and the part number called out in the wiring harness did not, so I ordered this one. etrailer order checker did not catch it either. I was able to find the correct bracket locally.

I have seen that part # PK12711U is a better alternative to this bracket. The oval shaped holes make it more compatible with more harnesses. I am glad to know that found something that worked for you.

by:

The hitch, harness and mounting bracket were a perfect fit at a great price. The videos were a big help. Ashley followed up several times to address my concerns with the order and the installation. This was a very smooth project from the order to the installation. Get it right the first time by using etrailer.com......

Now after reading at least 50 reviews which were mostly all bad reviews, I was really skeptical to buy from etrailer. There was some really great reviews also. I decided to give them a chance anyway and ordered a drawtite hitch, wiring harness, and a electronic brake controller. Product came in as promised and nothing damaged. Came with all instructions plus the videos from online. Installation was piece of cake. I didn't know that 4way/7way mounting bracket and adapter harness for brake controller(from vehicle to brake controller) didn't come with the order. I ordered them and etrailer gave me free shipping and arrived really fast. Also customer service experience was good. I recommend etrailer to friends and family!

This product was super easy to install and fit perfectly with my 7 pin harness!!!!

Nice piece but I am now aware that this bracket wasn't compatible with the 7-way kit I installed. I made it work by drilling more holes but be aware, not all brackets work with all 7-way plugs.

Fits perfectly. Uses the existing bracket mount on the hitch (Sprinter passenger van version)

This fit the existing bracket on my Curt hitch perfectly. Holds 7 pin trailer connector snugly.

by:

Products exactly like it describe very good quality but does not exact work with out modification

1 Curt 7-way T-connector For Factory Tow Package need to modify it to make it fit

by:

Great service thanks Kathy. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Quoted upwards to $1k for installation of hitch and brake controller. Video from etrailer made it easy and saved a ton of $.

by:

Good sturdy bracket. The holes did not line up with my 7 way electrical connector. I fixed it by drilling new holes and now everything is attached securely.

by:

Used with Volvo OEM 7-pin/4-pin wiring harness. Mounting holes aligned perfectly, but could not use included screws (too short).

by:

I modified the bracket to facilitate installation of 7 prong adapter on 2006 Expedition. Had to use some heat to change the angle to 45 degrees, and cut a couple slots for the clamps, but works when nothing else did. Clamped directly onto the tow bar, and still sturdy after 800 miles.

Why would you sell a bracket that does nit fit a round pipe?

Mike L. profile picture

5/19/2026

If you're trying to attach the bracket to a round hitch crossbar, I'd recommend using a no drill bracket like # C57202. Use the included pipe clamp to attach the no-drill bracket to the hitch, then attach your 7-way bracket to that.

by:

I read several reviews beforehand that stated the bracket is a little thin and would flex when connecting the trailer lights, so I ordered two of these and coupled them together to make it a stronger bracket. (Just have to open up the corresponding holes in one of the brackets so the screws will still feed through. Now it's much stronger and won't bend at all when making a connection. I decided to mount the bracket sitting on top of the bracket weld of my Draw-tite hitch so that it didn't hang so low below the hitch and risk getting damaged coming off a curb or hitting a low spot in the road. I have a 2011 Toyota Highlander and used an Exacto knife to cut out some of the plastic body panel so the harnessed wiring would fit through. Looks almost factory style to me. And it works great!

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For A 2025 Kia Sorento PHEV
Hi Jerry, For your 2025 Kia Sorento PHEV you would need the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C37RV for the trailer hitch. The right light kit for your Sorento is going to depend on a few factors. For models with the tow package, like you stated you have, you can install a 7-way connector like the Tekonsha # TK24FR. Regardless of the tow package you can install a 4-pole connector like the Tekonsha # 118269 (incandescent tail lights) or Curt # C99DR (LED tail lights). The 7-way is really...
