So far, I like it! It's heavier than what we thought and I haven't put it on my car yet but hubby has and he's really liking how easy it was to get on my car! It is so much easier for me to get bike on it and lockdown!! I look forward to being able to get the bike on by myself and go riding!
The only drawback is I drive a Ford Escape, when the bikes are on, you can't let the back hatch open. The Escape's hatch goes lower so even with the tilt, the hatch hits the bike. It's not a deal breaker, my hubby is a very smart man so he'll figure out something to use that can protect the car hatch and bike for the occasional 'Ooops" !
The box that this came in was trashed. The hitch receiver was scratched and had the matte paint removed in places. I was able to spray paint it black again before installing. etrailer should pack their boxes a bit better so this won't happen. Otherwise I'm happy with the hitch and would purchase from them again.

I ordered a hitch a year ago to move and never reciever it. The company told me it UPS said it was delivered and there was nothing they could do. So after spending upwards of xxx dollars and getting ZERO support. I would absolutely NOT recommend this page. It's likely a good way to lose money.
Shipping was fast and on time. Was easy to put on my Ford Escape. The only hard part was putting it on in the heat here in Arizona 110°. Came with all the parts. (had to buy one bolt due to the threading on the bolt was damaged, but no big deal.) This trailer can also be bought through other stores like [retainer] and such but recommend buying directly from etrailer it was the best price and service with etrailer. I have looked at many other hitches and glad I went with this one, it looks nice on my car.
Trailer came bent. Sent an email with pictures. Somebody responded asking for pictures. Sent another email with pictures and never heard back.

Just follow the directions and it fits. It helps to have two people when installing. It’s a hitch, it works like it should.
This works absolutely wonderful for my car. I am big into mountain biking and needed it to bring my bikes around. My family recently took a trip to Colorado (we’re from Minnesota) and the receiver worked great the whole way to bring our 3 bikes along with us. I would highly recommend if you need a hitch receiver for your car.

I would highly suggest having someone install this if you don't have a lift. You need to stretch the suspension to get the muffler low enough to get the hitch in place. I was able to struggle through by using a Jack and jacking up the driver side. The other issue I had was that 9 of the 10 holes loned up perfectly but one of the muffler hanger bolts (front driver side) was about an 1/8 inch off... fortunately my dremel and a small grinding bit was able to elongate the hole enough. So as you can see it was a bit of a struggle. That is why the low review. Once the rack was in place and all bolted in it has a nice appearance and seems sturdy enough. But I haven't had a chance to use it yet.
It was easy to install (according to my neighbor) and has worked perfectly without any problems. Main use is for a hitch bike rack.
Fit perfect on 2016 Ford Escape. A cheep air-grinder with carbide file enlarged the carriage holes quickly per instruction. No problems at all installing other than getting the torque to spec on the nuts. You do need a big wrench.
I purchased the Class III hitch and harness for my 2017 Ford Escape. First thing I noticed was the quality of the product. I love supporting American businesses that take pride in their product. I watched the online installation videos that were very helpful. I installed the hitch and harness without issue. You will need an extra set of hands though, installation is a bit awkward for one person.
Excellent hitch! Very well made. Took some time getting it on the Ford Escape but once on it has been nothing but perfect.
This product meet my expectations. Everything was packaged well with no damage during shipping. Watching the YouTube video in advance really made it easy to install. My brother and I had it under my 2013 escape se in under an hour. It fit perfectly with no issues with install. I highly recommend this hitch for all escape owners. I am using this hitch receiver to carry bicycles. I did not want to strap something to the rear hatch. I was very pleased with the ease of installation. I was most impressed with the special devices used to fish bolts through the inside of the frame. I do not need them anymore, but I hung one up in my garage as a reminder of how ingenious they were.
Missing the bolts and everything to hook up the hitch and box was opened and torn will update once I hear back if I do
