This 4-5/16" round LED light from Optronics replaces fragile incandescent bulbs with seven durable diodes that shine brighter while drawing less power. At 12.8 volts, it only uses 0.234 amps for the stop/turn function and 0.033 amps for the tail light, so it stays efficient without dimming your signal output. The LEDs are built to last and come backed by a lifetime warranty, so you won’t be swapping bulbs anytime soon.
If your trailer ends up around water or in harsh weather, this light is built to handle it. The polycarbonate lens and housing are sealed to keep moisture out, making it a solid pick for boat trailers or any wet environment. You don’t have to worry about corrosion or short circuits—the waterproof design keeps your lighting reliable even after full submersion.
This light fits neatly into a 4-1/2" diameter hole using the A45GB grommet (sold separately) for a snug, recessed mount that looks clean and stays protected. You can also mount it with the optional BK45BB bracket if cutting a hole isn’t an option. Either way, you get a professional finish without bulky hardware sticking out.
Wiring is straightforward thanks to the PL-3 connector that pairs with standard 3-prong plugs like the A45PB (straight) or A47PB (right angle), both sold separately. Just plug it in and you’re ready to go—no custom wiring or adapters needed.
With its impact-resistant housing and red lens, this DOT-compliant light handles constant use without fading or cracking. The sealed design stands up to road grime, vibration, and weather exposure, keeping your brake, tail, and turn signals bright and consistent trip after trip.

Today we're going to take a look at the Optronic submersible red round trailer taillight. This has a stop, turn and tail function and it uses seven super diodes. This round trailer taillight will serve three functions, a stoplight, a taillight, and a turn signal light. This is a nice sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens which makes it submersible. The LEDs that it uses makes great replacements for your incandescent lights. They last about 50 times longer, they are more efficient, so they'll provide a brighter light with less power output and there's no bulbs to replace or no brittle filaments. This is a polycarbonate lens and housing.
The lens is a red lens. This is a design to mount with a rubber grommet. It is a recessed mount. The rubber grommet we do sell separately on our website and it is listed on this product page as a related product. This light is designed to fit into 4-1/2" diameter hole.
It does accept the industry standard three-pronged plug you can see here on the back, and again we do sell those separately. There are two versions, I happened to pull them. The first one is a straight. This is part number A45PB, and the straight version when you plug it it, you can see the wires will come straight out. The other version is the A47PB, and that's the right-angle version. When you plug that one in, you can see that the wires do come out at a right angle.
Either one of those will work with this light. This light is Department of Transportation compliant. I want to give you a few dimensions on this. The overall diameter from edge to edge on this light is going to be right at 4-5/16. The depth, I'm going to give the measurement from here to here, and that's going to be 1-13/16 and then the depth of just the lens itself is about 3/4". Again, this uses the seven super diodes.
The power draw on this light at 12.8 volts for the taillight is 0.033 amps, for the stop and turn signal light is 0.234 amps. The warranty on the LEDs is lifetime. What I'm going to do here is we're going to take one of the . We'll take the straight. We're going to plug it in. I'm going to hook this up to a 12 volt power supply to give you an idea how bright the light is. It is a three-wire plug, so we'll take the white wire and that'll go to our ground. We'll take our black wire, and that'll go to our taillight, and then the red wire will be for your stop and turn signal. With that all connected, we'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. We'll go ahead and turn on the 12-volt power, and you can see there's your taillight. The brightness of your taillight. When you hit your brakes, you can see how much brighter that light gets. When you do your turn signals, you can see very bright LED light. We'll go ahead and turn off our power, disconnect our light, and then we'll go ahead and turn on our overhead. That should do it for the review on the Optronic submersible red round LED trailer taillight with a stop, turn and tail function and seven super diodes.

Great service the exact replacement nee ded.
Great product if you have an odd ball trailer light set up like I do that requires a center mount position plug! Fast east purchase and fast shipping, great company to deal with!
This light was almost an exact match for the stock light that came on the camper. I bought 2 and replaced them both, and they seem to be a little bit brighter than the originals, which I am glad with.
This light was exactly like described. I purchase a lot on line and use amazon prime for free shipping. I could not find this light on amazon and was very impressed that etrailer.com had very reasonable shipping prices. Instead of gouging the cost was in line what normal shipping cost would be. The shipping and tracking were spot on and the lights were delivered as promised. A VERY good company to work with.
We are looking for a supplier of trailer parts .. they had what we needed.
We build aprox 60 trailers a year. I am going to take a good look to see what else we can get from them.
Identical size, shape & function to the original taillight on a 2-yo Master Tow dolly. Replacement taillight from the mfg didn’t fit the original taillight bezel. This one is an exact fit.
My experience with Etrailer was excellent again as always. Always appreciate the explanation and videos to confirm correct product and installation before purchase. Delivery is always awesome as well.
I have not hooked it up to power, but I'm sure it will work. THe only disappointment I had was the light I removed had a rubber pad to help seal the screw holes and wire entry to the back of my trailer to keep moisture out. This light does not have that and it is not available from your company.
Exact replacements for my old tail lights.Fit perfectly. They also solved the issue. Tho old tail lights were allowing the blinker current to back track through the clearance lights. One of tail lights had water in it and when it flashed the clearance lights flashed too.
While I've not yet installed these they look like good replacements for the OEM lights. They are the correct style, size and the screw hole placement seems to be correct. My only reason for giving them an average rating is that they don't come with any gaskets. The original lights have a gasket between the back of the light and the wall of the camper. While the light unit itself is sealed the wires come through a hole in the camper wall and without a gasket the possibility of leaks is there. I will likely buy some gasket material from an auto parts store and make my own. No, I don't think the camper sealant will work as well as a rubber gasket.
