Sturdy steel ball mount with solid shank measures 14-1/4" from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole. CNC-machined for clean, straight lines. Powder coat gloss finish is corrosion resistant.Product is exactly as described on the etrailer.com website and measurements and dimensions fit perfect. Easy phone order process and prompt delivery, standard shipping arrived 3 business days after the order was placed. The extra long version of the ball mount makes it perfect for me to put on the bike rack while towing my horses.
I ordered the Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 4" Rise, 6" Drop - 14-1/4" Long - 6,000 lbs, and the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball - 1" Diameter x 2-1/8" Long Shank - Chrome - 2,000 lbs. Purpose was to raise the back of our 2005 Mercury hitch to better pull our home built kayak trailer. I was looking to get a better leveling position of the trailer. This 4" rise Hitch was a long shank did the trick ! VERY IMPRESSED with sales that helped me purchase the correct product. I purchase all my tires and trailer supplies from etrailer.com .......best quality, price, and support. Thank you. .
The Extra Long Ball Mount proved useful immediately upon receipt. Delivery was prompt, and the updates from etrailer.com helped plan transport of several bicycles, simultaneously with a camper trailer. The extended length facilitated use with a Swagman bicycle rack, also purchased via etrailer.com. The product arrived in excellent condition, with correct capacity rating, and works perfectly, and in conjunction with the bicycle rack. I recommend purchases from etrailer.
Love it. Perfect fit for front mount hitch application on 2013 Tundra. Matches back hitch height.
This slightly longer than average bar was perfect for my application. The drop length was perfect also for the application. As usual, eTrailer's site and retail experience was first rate. Lots of info and specs (and videos) available makes it easier to get that piece of mind knowing that what you needed was what you ordered.
I bought this because I needed the rise, not the drop. But, I only bought it after watching the instructional video on etrailer.com on how to measure for how much of a rise you need. When I pulled this out of the box, I thought "this is way too high" and that the video missed the mark. But imagine my surprise when I put it on my van after putting the ball on -- when I put the trailer on the ball, the trailer was dead level! Kudos to etrailer for putting up that video! I've ordered from etrailer a few times and the service is just insanely good! Incredibly fast shipping, prices better than any other place online or in my area, expert advice when you need it and great information.
Needed to extend my hitch a little farther from the vehicle and this one seems to fit the bill. I tow an AT Chaser offroad trailer behind an FJ Cruiser and need a hitch bar that can take some abuse, and I'm hoping this one stands up.
Excellent build quality.
Joshua was a big help, answered all my questions and got my part shipped out quick! Thanks!!
I have a 1978 Chevy K10 4x4 with a 4" lift and it has a hidden receiver hitch behind the License Plate. I thought I was going to have to have a ball mount made as I needed an extra long 8" shank to clear the rear bumper and 7500lb GVW rated. etrailer.com had just what I needed and George J. shipped it the next day (Saturday) and upgraded my shipping from 5-7 days to 3-5 days delivery with no extra charge! He also followed up to make sure I received it! I received it in 4 days and I am very impressed with the quality and thickness of the materials used to make it. It is heavy duty and pulls my fully loaded tandem axle flatbed with no problem. I highly recommend their products to anyone! Thanks George!!
Fit and finish is above what I expected. If you need a class 1 or a class 2 I recommend spending a little more money and going with a class 3. You can get any size ball you need and the design is much cleaner especially if you need a high rise or low rise unit . the heavier gauge steel unit needs less intrusive back braces giving more clearance and a cleaner look.
Does the job. Needed a 4" rise on my 07 Honda CRV to bring it up to 19" tongue height to rent a U-Haul trailer. Worked perfect.
I was looking for a ball mount with a long shank so that I could mount a set of mud flaps on it. The problem I had, is that I already had one of the longest ball mounts I could find, but that did not give me the clearance I needed to mount the mud flaps. etrailer is the only place I could find this extra long ball mount. This solved my problem without having to resort to costly customization. The Customer Service is excellent as well, both before and after the sale.
The product is well made and exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately the hitch should have been wrapped in foam and taped. Then placed in a smaller box. By the time it reached my door the hitch had broken through the box. It actually put to small chips in my concrete landing when placed at the door.
I like the extended length. I have to get used to it backing up! The 6" drop makes the trailer level, but I already dragged the jack plate through the grass on one job on a slight rise at the curb.
Exactly as ordered and on time.
It was exactly what I needed, George was very helpful with my selection
etrailer delivered exactly what I ordered, packed well, and on time. They reached out to me more than once to make sure my order was correct and answered very promptly via email when I had a question. They have everything you need for trailer components along with many other vehicle parts. I am very satisfied with my eTrailer order and their customer support and would recommend to anyone.
This is almost exactly what I needed. I needed an extension to give me more clearance between the hitch ball and my Town & Country tailgate. The added length gives me just barely enough clearance as long as my vehicle and camper are on level ground. Since I couldn't afford to lose the capacity by adding an extension, I had no real option other than to buy this longer hitch. Since it's already longer than most standard hitches, there's no reason that it couldn't be 1" or 2" inches longer. There would be little or no capacity loss by doing that. Other than the above, it's excellent quality, doesn't rattle in the hitch receiver and does what it's supposed to do. I like etrailer, their quality, service and support. Every time I have a question, someone answers the phone and knows their products well. I could have bought this anywhere but not everyplace has this type of service. Thanks.
Received product very fast, looks to be well made this should give me the clearance needed to pull trailer without removing my spare tire. Will update once item is used. Thanks etrailer excellent service.
Great Quality
Ordered the same Drawbar with the 4 inch drop last year and decided I needed a 6 inch drop. This extra long drawbar is great and allows me to back up with the tailgate down for a much better view.
I tried this receiver in conjunction with a trailer I am volunteering to move once a month. This ended up being a just a little too much of a drop. I can't knock the product for that. I did work well otherwise. I liked the elongated longer receiver bar extra distance between the receiver locking pin and the drop bar to give greater clearance when towing.
Works great long shaft go for u turns trailer don’t hit
Works perfect.
