Heavy trailers, campers, or bed cargo can make the rear of your vehicle sag and throw off steering and braking. This Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 6,000 lbs of support above the rear axle to keep your ride level and steady. The hollow rubber springs sit about 1" above the axle so your factory suspension works normally when unloaded, then automatically engage as weight increases. Whether you’re towing or hauling gear, the system helps eliminate squat and keeps handling predictable under load.
Uneven roads and potholes can leave your truck bouncing and bottoming out. The Aeon hollow rubber springs act as progressive bump stops that compress in stages—soft at first, then more rigid as the load grows. This design absorbs road shock and cushions bumps to create a smoother, more stable ride. By taking the hit before it reaches the frame, these springs help extend the life of your suspension and prevent harsh bottom-outs on rough terrain.
When a strong wind or tight corner tries to push your trailer around, each Timbren spring reacts on its own to keep that side planted. This independent action helps control off-center loads and reduces sway and body roll so your vehicle feels solid through turns or when a semi passes. The improved stability also helps calm trailer movement faster for a safer, more comfortable tow.
Adding load support doesn’t have to be complicated. This kit includes two Aeon hollow rubber springs, vehicle-specific brackets, and all necessary hardware—no drilling required. It mounts in place of the factory bump stops on the frame rails and is designed to work with suspension that’s already in good condition. Once installed, there’s nothing to adjust or maintain—the system automatically provides support when you need it most.

The Trimbren have been working perfect the ride empty is the same but with the fifth wheel truck rides level and feels much more stable. Thanks E-Trailer for all your help great staff great service.

The # TFR250SDF is the correct fit for your 2006 Ford F-250, and you are correct that there needs to be a gap between the Timbren and axle when unloaded. If you have already removed the included spacer and the Timbren is still resting on the axle, I would check the truck's rear suspension and ride height. Worn or sagging leaf springs or other suspension components can cause the truck to sit lower than its original ride height and take away that clearance. Can you please respond directly to the email you receive with pictures of your suspension and the Timbrens?

I reached out to Timbren about the question that you had in your review and they advised that you should use the holes that make the kit align the rubber to the axle the best, and that one way is not better then another just that one way will fit better depending on your vehicle.

Pulled my 5th wheel 4000 miles after installation. Seemed to help rear squat that 4x4 have. No durability issues. Although offset slightly they seem to stay underneath the spur on axle. Bottom line, happy with purchase.

Nice ride improvement. Easy to install once the old bump stops were off. Stabilizes the ride from side to side very nicely. Go slow on the washboard surfaces. Definitely aids in lessening the sag of my F250 with the slide-on camper loaded in the bed.
