Question:
The ratings for supersprings and timbrens seem to be different. The Timbrens seem to list their support by axle and the supersprings list theirs by spring. Is this correct? I am leaning toard the supersprings, but want to be sure I am comparing correctly. Thank you

The capacity information listed for the SuperSprings SumoSprings is per axle, not per spring. For instance, the # SSR-114-47 lists a per pair capacity of 1500 lbs. Please be aware that using a suspension enhancement product like the # SSR-114-47 won't increase the weight bearing capabilities of your truck. This product is compatible with trucks equipped with a fifth wheel hitch.
For a higher capacity at 5000 lbs, go with the SumoSprings Rebel, part # SSR-101-47-2. This particular product won't fit vehicles with a 5th wheel hitch.
The Timbren # TFR250SDF has a 6000 lb capacity.
The nice feature of these types of systems is they don't affect the vehicle's ride until enough weights been placed on the rear axle to compress the stock suspension. Once the stock suspension's compressed, the Timbren or SuperSprings product will contact the axle providing more support. The more weight that's added, the stiffer the springs will get.
Ultimately, the best choice for you will depend on how much support you need. Both Timbren and SuperSprings are reputable companies that manufacture reliable products.
