Do Timbren Suspension Enhancement Springs Give a Rough Ride When Under Load on a 2008 Ford F-250

Updated 08/01/2012 | Published 07/31/2012

Question:

I also pull a 5th wheel and the rear really lowers due to the pin weight. It pulls and rides fine, I just dont like the look of it and also if I were to pull at night my headlights would be shining higher. Does the Timbren increase the harshness of the ride by sitting on the rubber springs all the time when loaded? I was concerned that they would make me feel more of the bumps in the road because they would be in constant contact where as the current bump stops arent touching all the time.

When under load, the Timbren springs, # TFR250SDF, actually help absorb road shock rather than just transfer it to the frame where you would feel it. This also extends the life of the factory suspension components. The unloaded ride will not be affected. because this system mounts to the bottom of the frame, it will work with a 5th wheel hitch installed. I have included a link to the instructions and a link to our FAQ article on Timbren products for you.
