Question:
Top of the day to you Sir/Maam, I have a 2008 Ford F250 FX4 CC w/ LB and a 2009 Keystone Fuzion Toy Hauler that I tow with the BandW turnoverball and BandW 5th Wheel Companion system. Ive been towing for about a year now and recently noticed a little sag in the rear and would like to install something to help prevent it. I am willing to install an air system but before I commit I figured I would ask a pro first. I am blessed to have a wife that is very capable of hitching up and driving but would like to use something that is simple and failsafe. The air lift system ultimate appears to have the solid rubber jounce which provides the failsafe I am looking for but I am concerned about adding the air system because I am a staunch believer in the keep it simple smartypants philosophy. Do you have something I can read that will help me compare the pros and cons of an aftermarket air vs aftermarket jounce system? I appreciate ya hangin in through this lengthy question. Very Respectfully,

The biggest advantage to using an air bag system with the internal Jounce Bumpers, like the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate, # AL88398, is that you get the best of both worlds. The air bags offer the variable load carrying capability and reduce the strain on the rear suspension of your F-250. The internal jounce springs help to improve ride comfort and also work as a fail-safe if the air springs lose pressure.
An on-board compressor system, part # AL25592 is available that would allow you to adjust the air pressure without having to leave the vehicle.
A setup like the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, # TFR250SDF, installs easily and you can pretty much forget about it from there. Adjustments can not be made, basically a one size for all loads type of product.
With this being said, the Airlift Ultimate is definitely going to give you more flexibility but if you are looking for a quick and easy route and only plan to tow the toy hauler (tongue weight remaining the same), I think that you would be satisfied with the Timbrens.
I have included a couple videos and an article for you to check out.
