A Safe and Comfortable Ride

The HappiJac tie-downs distribute the weight of your camper across the truck's bed to keep the ride comfortable and the camper secure. Holding the camper taut at all four corners and from the front of the bed - as opposed to securing it on top of the bed rails, like a typical bed-mounted system - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel. It's designed to make the camper an integrated part of your truck, instead of a heavy load perched on top of it.

HappiJac Tie-Down Centering Guides

The included centering guide locks help you both with loading your camper and keeping it secure. When you back up to load, the locks will nudge the camper into the right spot and make sure it's centered as it slides into your bed. Then they'll essentially hug your camper on each side to hold it snug and keep it from moving. They also put a nice rubber cushion between the truck bed wall and the camper.

Don't Ruin Your Truck's Looks

HappiJac Anchor Points

When you're not using them, these tie-downs will be pretty subtle. The front anchor plates will poke out an inch or so from between the car and the bed, with the brace sitting on the inside of the bed, against the front wall. You'll be able to see it, but it won't interfere with using your bed for other things. The rear anchors install on the bumper, and when you're not using them, the couplers remove from the anchors with a quick quarter-turn. Small and chrome-plated, these anchor points blend right in.

The hitch fits perfectly. Shipping was very fast and packaging was excellent. etrailer communication is the best of any other on-line retailer i purchase from. Installation was a little frustrating as the adhesive used to hold spacers did not hold well on the slick surface of the powder coated metal which had to be placed between the bed and cab which is a very tight spot. Instructions were good and the included pictures helped since the part fits many different trucks. Only needed simple hand tools and a drill. Placed a thin piece of plywood between truck cab and bed when drilling to protect the cab.

First of all, etrailer was amazingly communicative in the delivery process, which was greatly appreciated. And these tie downs were such a straight-forward installation. Start to finish, I would 100% buy from etrailer again! Highly recommend.

2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty

The tie down kit is very high quality, and the installation instructions were spot on. Our truck is in mint condition and I wanted a tie down system that was low profile, and did not take away from the looks of the truck when camper not on it. I've not used the turnbuckles yet, but they are set up ready for work and look great.

2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I had previously used camper tie-downs that went into the stake pockets on the corners of the bed. They worked but kept bending up. I finally switched to the HappiJac version that adds unobtrusive mounts to the front of the bed and to the corners of the rear bumper. Mounting requires drilling and some time but wasn't bad with directions from etrailer. Front mounts are fantastic improvement. The rears are easy to use, but I see the bumper flexing. So far there is no sign of the bumper deforming at all. Five stars for the front mounts and three stars for the rears. Overall, though, big improvement over stake pocket tie-downs. I have a 2002 Ford F250 Superduty with a Lance Squire 10.5 camper.

2007 Ford F-250 Super Duty

The only think I didn't like is that the 3/8" frame bolts (connecting to the frames that the truck bed sits on) use lock washers instead of nylon lock nuts (nylocks). I feel these could come loose over time so I used nylocks instead. Otherwise it was a great installation. Installed on a 2007 F250.

Very Secure System For A Truck Camper.

This
is a great HappiJac product and etrailer is always the best place for ordering anything for your truck/camper! It was very easy to install and I installed it by myself. Just follow instructions and take your time! When installing, make sure you drill the holes through your bed straight, and put in one bolt at a time just enough to start it in the plate, then tighten down all the bolts.

It’s best to thread the bolts in the plate “before” you get started to get the paint off the threads as mentioned in the instructions… I installed this on my 2015 F-350 Super Duty Dually and drove 378 to pickup up my new truck camper and it held the camper in place great on the trip back!

Would recommend this from etrailer to anyone that has a truck camper.

1992 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Installed HappiJac Item #LC182910-182971 (an FT-UT9 kit) on my 1992 Chevy Silverado K3500 Single-Wheels w/8' Bed. Arrived quickly with all needed parts and good installation guide. Install took leisurely 3 or 4 hours total; nothing hard to do. Mount attached below to chevy's frame "ears", the c-bolts came down directly adjacent to both frame ears for easy drilling and a solid install. Couldn't be happier to install something solid, while dumping my older & ineffective stake-well mounts that were always a pain getting torqued and loose.

These worked great for my camper. Easy to use, my mechanic installed them easily.

After one year of using the happijac tiedowns, everything is still tight and secure when loading and traveling with the camper. I’m glad I bought them!

1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty

I ordered the Happy Jack camper system and the Timbren overload package for my 1999 Ford Super Duty. Both items showed up quickly and were very easy to install. Directions helped but they fit perfectly and were described on etrailers’ website perfectly. I will continue to shop etrailer. Thank you

by:

The HappiJac works great, however it is somewhat difficult to install. Also, I didn't receive any installation instructions and had to call etrailer and go online to find them. However, once the HappiJac is installed, I doubt there is any camper made that could pull it out.

1996 Ford F-250 and F-350

Perfect for the slide in camper I purchased. On the OBS fords I had to refill my hole on a slight angle towards the outside of the truck to be able to install the long lag bolts with the nuts. (Was 2 close to the bed frame to install hardware) once that was done it fit great.

by:

The HappiJac system was delivered quickly, and was very simple to install. I would highly recommend it, and etrailer.

by:

The bulk head tie down between the cab and bed works great with a few modifications, the bumper eyelets would be great if the bumper was more sturdy. I changed the rears out for some that are welded to my tow package. Cheers!

by:

Was a lot easier to install than it looks. No worries about damaging my cab now while loading the trucker camper. I would recommend this system.

by:
1996 Ford F-250 and F-350

Vert easy to install. Instruction very easy to follow. It took approximately 3hrs with a coffee break . Couldn't use frame mount on my 1996 F 350 because it is fitted with airbags and the torsion bars come past where they would mount on the frame.

by:

would have given 5 stars but barrel nuts missing
