Get the cushioning power of SumoSprings for your coil springs and keep your ride comfortable. The wedge-shaped springs fit between the individual coils of your existing springs and help support heavy loads on your rear suspension.
Features:
Specs:
Insert these helper springs in between the individual coil loops in your rear coil springs to defeat driver fatigue and add better support for heavy loads. Most factory coil suspensions have a difficult time hauling added weight. The rear coils may struggle with supporting the extra load placed on your rear axle when you're towing a trailer or using a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack. If your coil springs are totally squished under a load, the lack of shock absorption can be harsh on your backside, especially if you spend long hours sitting in your vehicle while driving to your campsite.
Inside each helper spring, a core of microcellular polyurethane foam adds cushioning between your coils to make your ride more comfortable. Each doughnut-shaped spring has H-shaped channels at the top and bottom that fit to the rung of an individual coil in your rear coil springs. The cushioning absorbs shock, but also works progressively to better support weight, keeping your truck level.
Unlike air springs that fit inside your coil springs, these polyurethane springs require no air pressure monitoring, and they are easier to install. Say goodbye to air lines, valves and air tanks and hello to maintenance-free suspension support. Unbumpify your ride with Coil SumoSprings for coil suspensions.

After cutting a couple of inches off they fit perfectly! Coils are tight so you'll need to unbolt the bottom shock bolt to gain an extra inch of decompression. Once installed there's no difference in ride hight or ride with the van unloaded. Once loaded up it gives the extra support needed to prevent scraping my muffler pulling in and out of driveways. I know this mod voids the warranty, but it was a chance worth taking.
Everything works great! I love products.
Here's a shot of the Sumo Springs installed on my 2005 Prius:
Installed the SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for suspension - Rear Axle on my Ram 1500. Easy install, if you follow their enclosed directions. It took longer to jack up the truck and secure it than the actual installation. Any negative comments that were written about the installation are most likely based on the ability NOT to read and follow the written directions. Took a drive after installation and immediately felt the difference in handling. Actually installed them to assist in the 30-foot travel trailer I am towing with a 1500 Ram. No doubt it is going to assist with the sway bars already on the trailer. In my opinion, it was a good investment for the price vs the results.
When fully loaded our Highlander had a severe sag, but after I installed the Sumo Springs, the suspension is improved when loaded and even better feel with daily driving.
Not the easiest to install but effective. I don't haul heavy loads often so I install them only when needed. I wish there was an air bag set-up for this vehicle.

Still working well, no issues.
I installed the Sumo Springs in my 2016 Toyota Highlanderthey fit well. Total install took approximately 10 minutes.
Easy to install- would recommend taking tires off as it eases installation.
Immediate ++ results on towing and load carry capacity. No more droopy bootie!!
Right now the only thing I can comment on regarding the springs is on how easy they went on. Followed the instructions to a T. No problem. Have not had the opportunity to test them on towing.
I was very pleased with the Sumo Springs for my 2015 Toyota Highlander Limited rear springs. Was a little worried if they would fit and if I could install them myself. Turned out to be fairly easy after watching a few YouTube videos. It's important to get the springs fully released by getting the tires off the ground an inch or so. Be sure to use safety jacks so you don't lose a hand or fingers. I had to jack up each side separately. Follow the directions by cleaning and spraying the car springs and spray Sumo springs too with soapy water. Was a little tough getting them started, but once in place would spin easily to get into position between the 2nd and 3rd spring and also to rotate to install all the zip ties. I loaded my hitch with 300# on a cargo carrier. Without the sumo springs dropped 1 1/2". With Sumo springs only 1/2". The 300# simulated the tongue weight of a camping trailer I am renting next week. 1" difference may not seem like a lot, but I was pretty pleased that such a easy, low cost fix that will allow me to tow up to the 5000# capacity rating of my SUV. I didn't notice any difference in handling when driving without any weight. My cargo carrier also has a 500# capacity so I'm good for traveling towing a camper or with my cargo carrier. As always, eTrailer was great about fast shipping. Ordered on Tuesday and arrived on Wednesday. eTrailer is my go to place for anything auto related.

Its still working great. Glad I installed the Sumo springs.
Lifted the rear of our 2018 Toyota Highlander 1", and was easy to install. Though, we haven't had the opportunity to test them.
The Sumo coil springs helpers did help with the rear spring sag and subsequent unweighting of the front end when my 2015 Toyota Highlander is hooked to our 20 ft 3,000 lb Winnebago Micro Minnie trailer. The steering felt better after installing the Sumos, but I had hoped for a bit more support from them, however the situation is definitely better with them than without them.

Satisfactory, it helps mitigate rear end squat
Timely shipping, and correct product. Only issue was that kit didn't have the tie straps included so my installer provided them.
I have a set for my rear suspension on my 2014 Highlander. These were easy to install and I noticed an immediate difference with firmer rear suspension. Where these really stood out was towing my boat. These substantially reduced rear suspension sag and body roll around corners. I will likely get a set for my front suspension too. If ordering again, I would get front and rear at the same time. This is because I notice a difference in the firmness of rear vs front. This has been a good solution for towing on 3000lb boat on my highlander.
Installation on a 2013 Toyota Highlander was very easy.
2015 Highlander XLE AWD. It works for what I intended. The hitch raised 1 1/2" under load. The load was around 1000lbs in the vehicle and a 250lb cargo basket on the hitch. If you count the hitch and misc items in the vehicle, the load would was 1350lbs out of the 1445lb payload. Without the sumosprings, it easily bottomed out. It does not level like an air bag system, however it improves the ride dramatically under load and does not bottom out. Most of the negative reviews I read were people expecting their highlander to tow a travel trailer. Not a vehicle I would choose for the job. Even light travel trailers have high tongue weights. Add people, a weight distributing hitch, equiptment and your payload is gone. The ride does not change unloaded. Until a better product is available, I'll be sticking with this one. Installation was very simple.
Installation went smoothly once I unhooked the shock absorber and allowed the spring to decompress. It looks like it lifted the back end about an inch with a couple hundred pounds of stuff in the trunk.
Made absolutely no difference. Car is sagging just as much as before. Waste of money

Having that rear vehicle sag is definitely not ideal. Sometimes the springs are not enough and a weight distribution system is needed as well. I am linking a FAQ below that would assist in seeing which WD system would be the best for you.

I had doubts initially but they seem to be working.
Works as described.
Delivered on schedule.
Went on easily. Done in 1hr.
Looking forward to less sag.
It helped a little. Easy to install, didn’t even have to take the wheels off. Really no other option for a Highlander that I know of to add capacity to basically a car rear suspension.

Good
Works great for what I needed. I had issues with the rear of the 2016 Highlander bottoming out when loaded (5 people, luggage and a hitch bike rack). After installing this, the ride has improved. I had 5 people, full interior cargo area, 21 cubic foot cargo box on top and a hitch cargo carrier. While I did get some sag in the rear, I did not have the harsh bottom outs that I was getting with a much less loaded vehicle before.
They work GREAT on my Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. They help with the rear end sag when towing my trailer.
Excellent product for what I needed. This was installed on a 2011 VW Golf TDI. I had installed air bags on the car 2 years ago and was not pleased with the ride and maintenance (air adjustments) needed to keep the system up. I was tired of dragging the trailer hitch and mud flaps even with the air bags. The golf rear springs are to soft and allow the rear of the car to sit to low even unloaded. I removed the air bags and easily installed the sumo helper springs CSS-1145R. I installed one side at a time, so I needed to disconnect the sway bar and shock to allow the rear wheel to drop enough to install the product easily. The result is approximately 1 inch increase in rear ride height and a slightly stiffer ride.
Super easy installation onto the rear coils of my 2008 Ford Escape. Definitely use a soap solution to help slide the device onto the coils. No noticeable different to the ride when unloaded, but prevents sag when carrying my dirt bike (250 lbs) on a hitch-mounted carrier.
