When you load up gear for a trip or haul tools for the job, the rear end can start to squat and throw off your handling. These springs compress as weight comes on, adding up to 1,000 lbs of support at 50% compression so your truck stays more level and controlled.
Rough trails and uneven pavement can make the back end feel harsh and bouncy. The closed-cell polyurethane design acts like a cushion, soaking up bumps and softening rebounds so the ride feels more settled instead of choppy.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the Rear Axle. Folks, these are a custom application, so please make sure you're checking the Fit Guide over at etrailer.com. Be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, this suspension kit is gonna be a great simple upgrade to the rear suspension, and it's designed to improve your load, support, stability, and overall ride quality. Now, these, unlike airbag systems, are completely maintenance-free.
There's no airlines, no compressors, nothing you have to adjust. Once you get them installed, you're set up, and they're always gonna work for you. They're made of a microcellular urethane material. That's gonna give you a progressive spring rate of 1,000 pounds at 50% compression, which just means they're gonna stay soft when they're unloaded and look like this, and they're gonna be compressed and firm up as that weight increases to provide extra support. Installation is straightforward.
You just simply take off your factory bump stops. These go right in place, and you have the included hardware needed for installation, and that's it. So, these are gonna absorb road shock. They're gonna smooth out harsh impacts without affecting your normal ride, and they are great at reducing rear-end sag, sway. They're gonna give you better overall control.

The springs are working exactly as expect. I have need up to the mountains numerous times and to Monerary to the Sea Otter bike fest. They have reduced the body roll and helped keep the truck stable on the mountain roads or when loaded down for camping. Im very pleased I added these Sumo Springs to my Tacoma.

Glad to hear they are helping, Cory! If you are feeling them going over speed bumps, I think taking one of the spacers out is a good idea. Especially if that is happening when you are unloaded. Speaking of which, what are you towing?
