Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

  • Recommended Replacement LED Tail Lights for a 2003 Forest River 25LE
Hey Richard, thanks for the picture! To replace the tail lights on your 2003 Forest River 25LE you'll want the following parts: Peterson Combination Trailer Tail Light item # V457 Peterson Trailer Tail Light w/ License Bracket item # V457L These LED lights measure 8-13/16" long x 5-1/16" tall x 2-3/4" thick.

  • Replacement for Discontinued Bargman 30-91-010 and 30-91-011 Tail Lights
Hello again John; when First Brands took over as the parent company for Bargman they discontinued most of their lights. That includes the direct replacement for the 30-91-010 and 30-91-011. Typically we recommend the the Peterson Trailer Tail Light # V457 and # V457L to replace these. However, they do not have a backup light function. The next best thing is the Optronics LED RV Tail Light # OPT34KB and # OPT54KB. These have a smaller profile at 8" long x 4" tall x 1-1/2" deep and have...

  • Replacement Trailer Tail Light Recommendations for Bargman 94 Series Lights
It looks like this light series has been discontinued so your best bet is to replace the entire assembly on either side of your trailer - you'll just have to remove the current rivets and install new rivets with new light assemblies and for that I recommend the following from Peterson: - Driver Side # V457L - Passenger Side # V457 These lights measure 8-13/16" long x 5-1/16" tall x 2-3/4" thick so they'll be a little larger than what you currently have which will be a good solution...

  • Recommended Replacement Taillights for a 1993 Dutchmen Classic 26FL
From what I can see, the Peterson Trailer Tail Light w/ License Bracket # V457L looks like it could work great however you'd need to do some measuring on your end and make sure the two are close in size. If it turns out that your current taillights are close or dead on, then you'd just need the Peterson Combination Trailer Tail Light # V457 for the passenger side.

  • How Should Peterson Combination Tail Lights V457L and V457 Be Wired To Trailer?
Based on the light illuminating and only having the issue once new lights were installed the issue is on the camper side of things and not in your 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. When installing the Peterson Trailer Tail Light # V457L and # V457 you should connect the brown wire on the tail lights to the tail light wire on the trailer (Brown wire on the 4-way you are using to test) and the green wire on the tail light to the yellow/green wire on the trailer (Yellow and green wire on the 4-way...

  • Grounding Peterson Trailer Tail Light Part # V457L to Trailer Frame
The Peterson Trailer Tail Light # V457L that you referenced is designed to ground through the mounting hardware which means that a bolt runs through the base which is attached to the ground circuit of the light and when it contacts the metal frame of your trailer the ground circuit is complete. If you wanted to ground this light with a wire you'd need to run the ground wire to the bolt you use to attach the light between the base and the trailer frame. The white wire on your 7-way wiring...

  • Replacement Tail Light for 1988 Jayco Jay-Series 1008 Pop Up Camper
I am unable to find a lens replacement or the exact tail light replacement for your 1988 Jayco J-Series 1008 DD pop up camper. My recommendation is to replace the light with the Peterson Combination Trailer Tail Light - 4 Function - White Base - Red Lens - Passenger Side # V457 and if you want the license plate mount # V457L. If you don't want the plate mount and just want the matching set the # V457 will work for both sides.

  • Replacement Trailer Taillight Lens For a 1989 Jayco 809 Deluxe Pop Up Camper
The Peterson Combination Trailer Tail Light # V457 and V457L are going to be some of the closest lights to your original tail lights on your 1989 Jayco 809 Deluxe. These surface mount lights are 8-13/16" wide x 5-1/16" tall. The drivers side light base includes the mounting tabs for the license plate. Your taillight lens is no longer in production and would be very difficult to find a used one in good condition due to the age of your Jayco. You can try a local RV salvage yard to see if...

  • How Far Apart are the Mounting Holes on the Peterson Trailer Tail Light w/ License Bracket V457L
Hey Paul, from left to right the mounting holes of the Petersen Light part # V457L is 7-3/4 inches. From top to bottom it is right at 3 inches. Would that work for your trailer? The license plate bracket mounting holes are separated by 7 inches.

  • Installation of Peterson Rectangular Stop/Tail/Turn/Reflex Trailer Tail Light V457L
RV makers do not maintain details/specs on the smaller items like tail lights that they install when fabricating their RVs. The USA-made Peterson Rectangular Stop/Tail/Turn/Reflex Trailer Tail Light # V457L is for the driver-side of a trailer and it includes mounting tabs for your license plate. The matching passenger-side item is # V457; it does not have tabs for the plate. Both lights also have four mounting holes on their white plastic bases. These can be seen if you click on the linked...

  • How to Determine Correct Replacement Tail Lights For 2021 Forest River Vengeance Rogue 26VKS
Hi Bonnie, While we don't know specifically what tail light is on any one trailer, I can help point you in the right direction for tail lights on your 2021 Forest River Vengeance Rogue 26VKS. It's pretty simple though as all you have to do is measure your current tail lights and find the one that most closely matches your measurement. For lights that have a license plate bracket there are a couple options, one being the Low Profile LED RV Tail Light w/ License Bracket # RVSTLB61. This...

  • Are There Replacement Tail Light Lenses For 2013 Aliner Sport
Hi William, I believe what your 2013 Aliner Sport has are discontinued Bargman tail lights, so we don't have a replacement lens option. The best we can offer are replacement lights, the Peterson Trailer Tail Light w/ License Bracket - Driver Side # V457L and/or Peterson Combination Trailer Tail Light - Passenger Side # V457. These measure 8-13/16" long x 5-1/16" tall x 2-3/4" thick so should be very close to the size or your current lights but you'll want to take a quick measurement to...

  • Replacement Tail Light Recommendation for Bargman 92 Series Tail Lights
Hey Kolt, thanks for reaching out! The 92 Series Bargman tail lights were discontinued a few years ago so you'll need to use a different tail light and for that I recommend the Peterson brand: - Driver Side - # V457L - Passenger Side # V457 These are a little larger at 8-13/16" long x 5-1/16" tall x 2-3/4" thick, but they look similar enough that your camper will look the same.

  • Troubleshooting Turn Signals Not Bright on Popup Camper
Since I'm assuming you just installed the # V457 and # V457L it is unlikely the lights themselves are the problem. It could have to do with the installation. These lights are designed to ground through the mounting hardware. Make sure the hardware is running into a metal surface that contacts the trailer frame. You could also run a separate ground wire to the frame or main ground wire if it seems like that is the problem. The only other thing it would be is the power running to the lights....
