Wiring a trailer usually means cutting into the taillight wires, but this harness avoids all that. The Curt T-Connector plugs straight into the factory connection at the rear bumper to give you a working 4-pole flat trailer plug. No wire tracing, no splicing—just plug it in and you’re ready to tow.
The 4-flat connector gives you what you need for standard trailer lighting—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. It’s the common setup for small and mid-size trailers, making it a simple starting point whether you’re hauling a utility trailer or getting ready to add a 7-way later.
If you plan to run a brake controller or add trailer power, this harness is the first step. Once it’s plugged in, it can connect directly to a kit like the ETBC7 for a full 7-way setup. That combination lets you control electric trailer brakes and provide a 12-volt accessory feed when needed.
You don’t have to unplug anything when you’re not towing. The vehicle taillights keep working just as they should with the Curt harness installed, so it stays out of the way until it’s time to hook up your trailer again.
Need more than four functions? The 4-flat plug can combine with an adapter like part #20036 if you ever need a fifth circuit, such as a reverse lockout line on surge brakes. It’s an easy way to expand your wiring without replacing the whole harness.
