Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Optronics four-function, LED RV oblong taillight for your passenger side. Now, this taillight will mount on the surface of your trailer with four screws. Now, the hardware's not included, and you can see these four covers right here. If you pop off those covers, then you can put your screw, goes all the way through to install it.
Once you screw it down, put your covers back on to give it a nice clean finish. Now, this is an 8 inch by 4 inch oblong, low-profile waterproof light, serves four functions, and I do have it hooked up to some 12 volt power just to show you those four functions. So we'll go ahead and turn the power on and you'll see the taillight function come on. And I did want to turn off the overhead lights. There's your taillight function, and then when you apply the brakes, you can see how much brighter it gets.
So you hit the brakes, it gets brighter, and then if you hit the turn signal, you see the turn signal is just similar to the brakes, only flashing. And then if you do the backup light. The backup light, let me just hook that up so we can show you that. The backup light would be when you hit your reverse lights or your backup, you can see those four white lights, the very bottom light up, to let you know the person behind you that you are backing up. Turn our lights back on.
This is a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. It is submersible. I'm gonna disconnect it here so we can spin it around, show you that it's a four-wire pigtail. That's how you'd install it. And it uses LED lights, which are highly efficient, durable, and long-lasting.
Uses nine LEDs and they do have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. It is a durable polycarbonate lens and housing. It is DOT, Department of Transportation, compliant. Specs on this, the voltage is 12 volts. And the last thing I wanna do is just give you those dimensions. The length one into the other is 8 inches. The height, 4 inches, and the depth of it is about 1.5 inches deep. And again, it does come with the gasket on the back, you can see, for sealing it. But that should do it for a look at the Optronics four-function, LED RV oblong taillight for the passenger side.
