Video Transcript for Optronics Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Lights Replacement Amber Lens Review

Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install this replacement lens from Optronics. (object clangs distantly) Worker Woo. This is gonna be an amber one for your clearance or side marker lights, designed to replace MC32 or MCL32 series lights. (object thudding distantly) Let's check it out. All you need to do the replacement is a flathead screwdriver and the new lens.

So if yours isn't broken off, maybe it's just cracked, and you're looking to replace it, then you can get the old one removed. Really easy to do. Just find a gap in there, (screwdriver clicking softly) insert the flathead screwdriver, the smaller the better, and just twist it. (component shuffling) That will release the snapping cover, and you can just snap the new one (cover clicking) in place like that. It's the same exact acrylic material (screwdriver tapping) that the old one was, so even if it did crack, it should hold up to rocks and things flying up at it.

If it does crack again, you can know that you can get a replacement lens again. But if you don't need the lens, maybe you need the whole light, then you can pick that up here at etrailer as well. Again, just making sure to find the right one for your camper, but it should just be a two-wire system, really easy to get installed. And if this isn't the right lens cover for you, be sure to check out (tool buzzing distantly) the other options on our site, and find the right one to fit your light. But that was our look at in replacement of the Optronics amber side marker or clearance light lens cover, (object thudding distantly) thanks for watchin'.

perfect lens .

All parts ordered were delivered on a timely manner and parts were exactly as expected.

I would order from your business without hesitation.

Thanks
Bob Cameron

Solid construction. Worked great at replacing the weather-worn lenses on my Fleetwood Popup Trailer.

by:

The lens cap was a perfect fit. The Timbren suspension is a great design and works great. The only issue is the removal of the old bump stops. I soaked them with penetrating fluid and the foam was the only thing that twisted off. I realy messed up the first mounting hole when i drilled out the bolt left inside. The bolts have round heads so their isn't a better way. A Small pipe wrench may have done the trick.

Custer service was superior. The sales person did an outstanding job in helping find the correct tail light for our RV. The delivery was done in a timely manner but the best part was the tail lights were a perfect match and installation was a snap. Thanks E Trailer. You are an awesome company!

The new light looks great on your trailer, Steve! It looks like Ginny helped you out when you called, she's pretty awesome so I'll make sure that she gets this.

@GwendolynY the module that was on the trailer had a foam pad attached to the back, which acted as a gasket between the trailer and the module. It had adhesive to stick to the module, and was cut with holes for the wires and mounting screws. I used this on the new module, and thought you might want to include this with your units. The module fit perfectly. Thanks for the help finding it.

by:

Amber Len was correct and fit perfect.
No
mounting screws for door/water heater. No one should use old screws.
The ones we chose are 3/4 " long #8 panhead.
Mounted the new door flange to the water heater to locate where to drill mounting holes.
The wiring was color coded the same as our 2017 Grand Design Reflections

The measurements fit perfectly for my 2021 Apex ultralight travel trailer. I snapped it right on and it fit. This is a good replacement for travel trailer lights.

Was looking for a replacement lens for my older Jayco camper with Bargman lights. This lens cover does indeed fit perfectly on a Bargman 58/59 series light unit. Great price.

by:

My husband didn't believe it would be easy to find parts for a 1970's pop-up that we bought. I thought otherwise and searched the part number to find etrailer.com with a replacement. A few days later - boom - lens received and popped onto trailer. Thanks!

Excellent part still securely attached to trailer.

by:

Perfect replacement.

by:

The lens is an exact replacement, which was slightly concerning because there was no direct reference for my RV. Customer service and delivery time was exceptional.

by:

They fit my clearance lights beautifull y!

by:

Great product and communication. Delivered early.

by:

These were the exact replacement lenses that I needed. Shipping was fast. I had a great experience.

by:

Bought a 10 year old toy hauler and the clearance light lenses were badly faded. These replacements are a very tight fit, as other reviewers have mentioned. I was unable to push the new lenses on, I had to strike them with the heal of my hand. In examining the old and new side by side, the inside of the corners of the new lenses are thicker than the old lenses, which is preventing them from easily snapping on. It will be a challenge to remove them if a bulb burns out.

by:

Excellent Product, excellent customer service with many email updates. Highly recommend these lenses and this company.

by:

This was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered a few just in case I broke another one. Great price, very decent shipping. I have used etrailer in the past and will continue to do so. Excellent customer service.

by:

The part was delayed , they found a substitution , and I got it 2 months before the original order.

by:

Exactly what I needed delivered quickly to me at a reasonable cost on the road. Etrailer is my go to source for all things towing, hauling and RV.

by:

The orange lens replacement fit better than the original on my RV trailer. The winds on highway speed must have yanked the lens off. Thank you for the lenses.

by:

Parts are top quality and arrived within a reasonable time.

Thanks for the new lens

  • Replacement Side Marker Amber Light For a 2020 Forest River EVO Travel Trailer
While I cannot look up the exact parts used on your 2020 Forest River EVO travel trailer based on images I could find it does appear you have the Side Marker Light # MCL32ABB. This uses the Lens # A32AB you found. For the hubcap I would need to see an image of the hubcap along with dimensions to determine if we have a suitable replacement for your travel trailer.

  • Replacement Lens for Clearance/Side Marker Light for a 2001 Coleman Pop-Up Camper
If the light on your 2001 Colman pop-up camper is an Optronics # MC32AB or a Peterson TW2549A this replacement lens # A32AB is the correct fit. If you are not sure which light you have the number might be on the housing somewhere, likely the back, but not on the lens. That is a different number. If there are no part numbers on the light housing then I would need to know the dimensions of the light you have to determine if this or another lens will fit.

  • Correct Replacement Light for Trailer Light Base Part # 1A-S-9
If the base of your marker light, # 1A-S-9, is part of the Kaper II Trailer Light # 1A-S-100A, then the correct replacement base is the Optronics Rectangular Marker Light, # MC32RB. This marker light comes with a red lens and the replacement red lenses are # A32RB. The replacement lenses # A32AB that you referenced are the amber replacement lenses.

  • Replacement Clearance Light Lenses for SAE-AP2-00
Hey Michael, the SAE number of a trailer light isn't always the best way to pick out a replacement light since that isn't a part number. But most likely you are looking for a # A32RB which measures 4 inch by 2 inch and is red and for amber you'd want the part # A32AB.

I was able to find the exact replacement amber (1A-S-20A) and red (1A-S-20R) lenses. I did a Google search on kaper2 (or Kaper II), and found replacement lenses. Their replacement lenses are shown as measuring 4 inches long, by 2 inches wide by 3/4 inches high. I pulled one of the Optronics # A32RB off of the shelf, and measured it using a dial caliper. I came up with 4.013 inches long, by 1.97 inches wide by .67 inches high. I suspect that in measuring their lens, Kaper II might very...

  • Replacement Lens Needed For A Bargman SAE P2-58-59 Amber Clearance Light
We unfortunately no longer offer the replacement lens for this light so the only thing I can offer would be a complete replacement with the Optronics Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light w/ Reflex Reflector # MC32AB. You could possibly use the replacement lens # A32AB for this light on your current light, but with the price being virtually the same I'd go with the full light just in case the lens doesn't fit you can just swap out the light and have zero down time waiting for a new light...

According to my research, that number corresponds with a Bargman #59 Clearance light, however that lens has been discontinued. So, the next closest option is the Replacement Amber Lens for Optronics MC32 or MCL32 Series Clearance or Side Marker Trailer Lights # A32AB. This lens has the same measurements L x W as the Bargman lens, however the Bargman lens is 5/8" deep while the Optronics lens is 1/2" deep.
