Replacement for Discontinued Bargman 30-91-010 and 30-91-011 Tail Lights

Updated 01/26/2026 | Published 09/29/2024

Question:

I need a T. Bargman tail light assembly 30-91-010, 30-91-011. With back up light. For an old Dodge Chinook motor home. Can you help and if so do you carry it or the replacement? Thanks.

Hello again John; when First Brands took over as the parent company for Bargman they discontinued most of their lights. That includes the direct replacement for the 30-91-010 and 30-91-011. Typically we recommend the the Peterson Trailer Tail Light # V457 and # V457L to replace these. However, they do not have a backup light function.

The next best thing is the Optronics LED RV Tail Light # OPT34KB and # OPT54KB. These have a smaller profile at 8" long x 4" tall x 1-1/2" deep and have the backup light function. You could also go with a larger light like the LED Trailer Tail Light w/ Reflector # DG52721PB which measures 11" long x 8" tall x 1-1/4" deep assuming you have the space for it.

Thanks Robin-see below an expert response from awhile ago I guess I found on your site. Is that correct, would the 30-92-002 and 004 work? If so do you carry them? And do they have the back up light? I am trying to find a replacement light kit for my trailer that has Bargman type 30-91-010 and is a 4 wire design. two green one white and a black. the lights are around 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 in size. I need one left that has a license plate holder and the right as well. Thank you, asked by: Brad L Expert Reply: The Bargman 91 series lights have been discontinued, but for a similar light you would want the # 30-92-002 and then for the side with a license plate bracket you would want the # 30-92-004. This is basically the same light that you have except it has round corners on the lenses instead of square corners.

@JohnH those are the discontinued lights I was referring to. We don't have them but if another retailer still has stock that is what I would get. They have the backup light function.

Related question: My Jayco pop up camper uses the same Bergman tail lights as above. Both sides need to be replaced. The left has green yellow and brown wires coming out. The new led lights I bought have red, black and white wires coming out. How do I know which of the green, yellow and brown match up to the red, black and white wires on the new lights?

@JimS standard colors would be brown for taillight, green for right turn/stop and yellow for left turn/stop. However, there is no guarantee on trailer wiring so I would just test for power on the different wires to match up the functions. It doesn't sound like any of those is a ground wire so you will need to ground the new lights to the frame.
