Old bulbs can be dim or burn out when you need them most. This 2-1/4" x 1-1/4" rectangular red LED light throws out a bright, clean signal while drawing less power than traditional incandescent lights. The LEDs last up to 50 times longer and don’t rely on fragile filaments, so you get dependable illumination every time you hook up. With its 12V DC compatibility and P2 rating, it meets DOT standards for consistent, safe lighting.
If your trailer ever touches water or sees heavy rain, this light is ready for it. The sealed housing keeps moisture out of the circuit board and diodes, protecting the internals from corrosion and shorts. Whether you’re dunking a trailer at the ramp or hauling through a storm, the waterproof construction keeps the light reliable and bright.
This light doesn’t just shine—it’s built to look good for the long haul. The chrome-plated housing stands up to weather, road grime, and regular cleaning without dulling or flaking. It adds a polished finish while keeping the fixture strong and corrosion-resistant.
Getting this mounted is straightforward. It surface mounts with hardware that’s already included, so there’s no complicated bracket work or drilling patterns to figure out. The single-wire plug makes the connection clean and quick—easy enough to handle in one go when updating or replacing your lighting setup.

Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, we're looking at the Peterson clearance or side marker light. It's a submersible LED with a chrome housing and a red-colored lens. Folks, this LED trailer light does serve as a clearance or a side marker light when it's properly mounted. It comes sealed with a waterproof housing. The whole lens unit here is a one-piece.
It's LED, and it has the nice durable chrome-plated housing here and the watertight gasket for installation as well. The two screws for mounting it, surface mount it, and a length of wire here as well. It is DOT compliant. It is P2 rated as well. Now I'm gonna go ahead and light this up for you so we can kind of see the intensity in the daytime and in the night.
Okay, there we go. So this is in the daylight. And I'll shut my overhead lights off. And there is the nighttime. And if it was looking down the side of the trailer, you would see pretty much like that.
And let me change my camera angle, go far away. Okay, so that's far away. Pretty nice to see. And from the side, again, so very visible. The LED lights make it super, super visible in the daytime or night and it is a nice light for any kind of trailer.
Now as far as some dimensions, it's kind of a standard size here. We are 2 1/4 inches long by an inch and 1/4 tall and 3/4 of an inch thick, or sticking out, however you want to say it. Well, folks, it does run a 12 volt DC system. Has a nice one-year limited warranty from the manufacturer. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching with me today, folks. Stay safe out there while you're towing and have a great day.
