Michael: Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the ThinLine LED trailer clearance or side marker light. This will serve as either a clearance or a side marker light. It is a P2 rated product. It's going to produce a 90 degree beam pattern.
You will be able to see it from the front, but not from the side. You won't be able to use it as both a clearance and side marker light simultaneously, but you will be able to use it as either/or, depending on how you have it mounted. This does have an amber acrylic lens with two Amber LEDs on the inside to provide that light. That Amber lens does meet up with the durable polycarbonate base. Those two are sonically sealed together, so it's going to be waterproof. If you want to put this on your boat trailer or something like that, where it's going to be submerged, it's going to be just fine.
Having those two LEDs in there, it's going to make this very durable, as opposed to your older style incandescent lights, which had that brittle filament that often would break. Your LEDs are going to last about 50 times longer than their traditional incandescent lights. These do come with a lifetime LED warranty. You can trust that they're going to hold up well for you to do a good job. Plus, those LEDs are going to be a lot more efficient than your old incandescent lights. They're going to provide a brighter light with less power draw.
These are only going to draw about 0.051 amps on a 12 volt circuit. They are going to be compatible with your 12 volt DC systems. As far as getting this mounted, it's going to be very easy. Now you will need a bracket, which is sold separately, but with that bracket, just plug it in place. You can see on the backside, we've got those two posts that will accommodate your industry standard one wire or two wire plugs, which again are sold separately. Very easy to get hooked up.
I'll use my little wires here to give you an idea of how bright this is going to be. You can see those two LEDs do light up well, even in the dark, going to give us a nice, bright light to make sure that other motorists are aware of where our trailer is.Our overall dimensions, looking at just shy of 4" in total length. Let's call it about 3-7/8". Our height, looking at about 1-1/4". Then our depth, it's going to be just shy of an 1". I'm going to call it 7/8", but right about an 1". A great option if you are wanting to replace a side marker or clearance light. It's going to hold up well, do a good job for you for a nice long time. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Accepts industry standard plug. P2 rated.Powered up the lights prior to installing this replacement lens. Found that this lens assembly works just like the incandescent bulb one that it is replacing. No need to worry about polarity. It also has similar brightness so that we didn't have to replace the row of 5 that were on the top of the trailer. We replaced them anyway to keep them the same.
Wasn't able to use them. You have to have a base for them to plug into.
The process for ordering and follow up couldn’t possibly have been better.
This is a great company to do business with!
For existing bases. Used them to up grade market lights on my horse trailer.
Good Company

They worked out perfect as a replacement to my old lights. Had to do a little bit of customization to fit them to my trailer but I expected that I would. They look great and give off some nice light. I would for sure buy them again.

These are a direct replacement for my haulmark car trailer. The lights work great and I decided to order an extra set and a mounting bracket in case one breaks while on the road. Just take your time when replacing the lights to avoid breaking the retaining clips.

In the process of detailing my 2003 motorcycle trailer to get it looking good again. Clearance lights needed replacement. The original red lights were now faded pink for goodness sake! Replaced all 20 lights with the thin-line red and amber side marker lights. Replacement couldn't be more simple; remove original lights, snap in new. Exact fit and everything worked perfectly. Now, once the new tires and wheels get here we'll be in good shape! The new lights definitely make you say, "no way that trailer's 15 years old" :-)

I decided it was time to repair the lighting on a 15 year old trailer due to several being broken, and the rest being very faded. I spent quite a bit of time on etrailer comparing options I finally settled on the 4 diode led's. I was excited to see the difference but was ultimately dissapointed with my decision to swap out the old incandescent with more costly led's as the new led lights put out significantly less light. As u can see in the pictures I did the passenger side first, then I took pics halfway thru. If u look at the driver side with old lights it has alot more light even though it only has only 2 working lights, compared to the 4 on the new side! In the front shot u can see the old on the right is casting 10 times the amount of light on the ground. On the plus side at least the orange is now orange, and the red is red instead of almost clear.
I will say the shipping was very fast, and the the customer service was awsome as always.

Great to know I've got spares in the Tool Kit should one ever go out while on the road. Super easy to change. Nice YouTube demonstrating that.

Going to be a good replacement for the light I had on my trailer.

Always a good idea to have a couple of spares just in case.
Also a nice inexpensive way to freshen youe trailer hardware.

There is not enough room on the back of the light to clear any fastener that i tried. There is relief there but not enough. Other than that the produce is pretty decent in quality. Installing is kind of a pain because of the clearance issues therefor the poor rating.

Wow, what a difference LED clearance lights make, especially at night. It makes my business information really stand out and people who follow me really notice that. I've been wanting to go LED the past couple years and now that I recently made the change, I'm not ever going back to standard low-level light bulbs again. Thanks etrailer for offering these lights and at a very affordable price. You were almost half the price as our local part store was selling them for, plus these are more stylish as well.

These lights are not well made. I Cracked one base while riveting it onto my trailer, And cracked a second one when I accidentally installed a red marker where a yellow belongs.- don’t try to remove the lens once clicked into place. They light up, but that’s as much positive as I can give

I bought my Haulmark 12'x6' Enclosed trailer used a few months back. The trailer was in good shape but the sun faded out the marker lamps. Since I use the trailer as a landscape equipment trailer I'm usually not working at night but now with the daylight savings hour change I find myself getting home when it's dark and now those faded lamps were bugging me. Since I've had great experience in the past with etrailer.com I decided to take the plunge and change out the 14 marker lights to their LED versions...Wow what a difference. Not only are my lamps no longer sun faded but they are bright! Definitely was worth the money and the installation was quick since they simply snap into place.
Thanks,
RAM

Wish this was the 2 wire variety. Still works, but keeping them grounded is a pain.
