Optronics Thinline MCL75 Series Red LED Marker Clearance Light Dimensions

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

P2-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for P2 rated light

A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Hello KEvin, thanks for reaching out. According to my research, the 1A-V-1260 lights are 3-7/8" long by 1-1/4" wide red lens clearance lights. We do have a suitable replacement. • Lights for a 7 Foot x 10 Foot Cargo Trailer
It is imperative you check your local laws for lighting requirements in regards to your specific trailer, though I can tell you you no matter what you'll need stop lights, tail lights, turn signals and reflectors. There are other factors, including your trailer's GVWR that you need to take into consideration; I have added a link to a help article on trailer lighting requirements which I highly recommend checking out. That said, a 7' wide x 10' long cargo trailer is almost certain to have...

Thanks for the picture of your trailer clearance light. It's one of two options depending on how long it is. It's the part # MCL75RB if the light is 3-15/16 inches long or # AL91RB if it's 2-1/2 inches long.

We have the Optronics Incandescent # MC65RB and Optronics Thinline LED # MCL75RB that use a red lens. The Optronics Incandescent # MC65AB and Optronics ThinLine LED # MCL75AB have an amber lens. A Optronics ThinLine LED # UCL65CB uses a clear lens with red LED's, and the Optronics ThinLine LED # MCL65CAB is a clear lens with amber LED's. We will not have any with a white light and clear cover.

  • Replacement LED Clearance Lights for 2000 Sundowner Trailer
The Sealed, Thin Line LED Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Light, 4 Diode - Red # MCL75RB will mount to your 2000 Sundowner as long as the base it connects to is 4-1/16" L x 1-1/16" W x 1/2" D. If you need to replace that bracket, I recommend the Black Bracket and Single Wire Plug for Thin Line Series Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Lights # A65PB or chrome # A67CB. We don't have a spec sheet of each trailer, but you can definitely make these work and the dimensions should help you...

  • How Does the Optronics Light # MCL75RB Install on a Two Wire Lighting System
When installing the Optronics Sealed, Thin Line LED Light, # MCL75RB, you will use the # A65PB Bracket for Single Wire Thin Line Light. The bracket has a black wire that the power wire on your trailer will connect. The light will ground to the trailer through the light bracket. If you are mounting to a steel frame then you will not need to install the trailers ground wire.

  • Trailer Clearance Light Replacement
Those part numbers are for trailer clearance lights, and the main difference between 1a-v-1240R and 1a-v-1260r is that the 1240R is a led light, and the 1260r is a incandescent light. Both lights have red lenses and are 3 7/8 inches long, by 1 1/4 inch wide. We do have replacement lights that will work in both styles. For an led red marker light you can use Optronics Thinline LED Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light # MCL75RB. For an incandescent light use Optronics Incandescent Trailer...

  • Diameter Fasteners to Use to Install Clearance Light MCL75RB
The mounting hole diameters of the install bracket # A65PB for the Thinline light part # MCL75RB are 3/16 inch in diameter. 1/8 inch diameter screws or rivets would work well. Aluminum isn't going to be as strong as steel but if the light assembly is pretty lightweight so it would still be held on securely with a aluminum screws or rivets.

  • How Does the Optronics Clearance Light # MCL75RB Mount to a Trailer
For a mounting bracket for the Optronics Trailer Light # MCL75RB that you referenced you would want an Optronics Black Mounting Bracket # A65PB. How it will mount will depend on your trailer, but basically you will need to use a screw or bolt with a diameter less than 1/4 inches to attach it to the surface of your trailer. The mounting holes are 3 inches apart on center. Grounding the light circuit through the mounting bracket should not cause a short circuit. Just make sure the metal...

  • Can I Use Optronics LED Light # MCL75RB in the Same Base as Light # MC65RB
Yes, both the Optronics lights # MC65RB and MCL75RB use the same mounting base, so the # MCL75RB lights will snap into your old bases. You will then need to wire in the lights, with a power and ground connection. Part # MCL75RB is a sealed LED light light and will burn brighter but draw less power than part # MC65RB. Both lights use either base # A65PB or # A67CB. See the video that I shot showing both lights.

  • Clearance Light Replacement Recommendation for TruckLite Model 19

  • Does Optronics Side Marker Light # MCL63RB have to be Mounted a Specific Way
Lights that have to be mounted in a specific orientation will have TOP printed on them somewhere which I do not see on light # MCL63RB. The lens is designed to direct the light straight outward so that is likely why it is harder to see them if they are mounted high and you are close to the trailer. A lens design like that found on # MCL75RB would be a little easier to see at steeper angles. I have included a help article on trailer lighting requirements for you.

  • Availability Of A Gasket To Go With The Optronics Brackets A65PB
We do not offer any kind of gasket for the brackets # A65PB. The lights that go with these like the # MCL75RB are designed to be submersible and will be highly water resistant. Generally we would use a non-sag sealant like the Alpha Systems # AL28KV to seal the back of the light and prevent water intrusion.

  • Replacing Optronics Thin Line Incandescent Trailer Light with Thin Line LED Trailer Light
You are exactly right. Changing out your # MC65RB incandescent lights for new # MCL75RB lights will simply require removing the existing light and snapping a new light into the same housing. Both of these lights use the # A65PB bracket. If any of the brackets on your trailer need replaced you can use the # A65PB as a replacement, but the LED lights will not require any different base than the incandescent lights. I have attached an installation video of the # MCL75RB light for you.

  • Can Optronics Thin Line LED Trailer Clearance Lights Fit Base Of Lights On Snowmobile Trailer
I was not able to find the truck Lite 2303 or 2294 lights on their website. You may want to consider replacing most if not all of the incandescent lights on your snowmobile trailer. Since LEDs draw about 1/10 of the power, you can certainly get the draw down a lot more than what you are doing now. We do not have a converter box for a 10-amp load as you described.
