Question:
I want to add more side marker LED Lights to my 20 foot Cargo Trailer, 3 in front of the front axle down low, one on the fender center and one right behind the fender low 16 inches off the ground. on the top roll one amber on the side top front and one on the side top center. My question is related to the red lights on the side. Are the only lights that are allowed to be red on the side of the trailer the one low and one high closest to the rear and everything else is amber? In the pics the yellow tape is where the amber LEDS will go Thank you,

Expert Reply:
You are correct. Red lights should always be as close to the rear of the trailer as possible. With that also said, if you wanted to use something like the Optronics Thinline LED Trailer Fender Light w/ Bracket # MCL67ARB on the fender, you will want the red light pointed towards the rear of the trailer and the amber light pointed towards the front of the trailer.
If you do not already have the lights picked out, the Optronics Thinline LED Clearance and Side Marker Light # AL91RB (Red) and # AL91AB (Amber) are some of our more popular ones and the # A91BOB brackets and # A46PB wiring makes the install and replacement, if ever needed, a lot easier.
